Random Thought Thread

What is going on here? I just finished installing a surge suppressor on my coax at the service entrance. Spectrum had to perform a reset to bump me back up to 100 Mbps. Satisfied for the night, I jump on BF and hear grumblings regarding a flipper going for max?

Hmm...My mother-in-law is staying over for a week starting from a few hours ago.

I'd foresee working a LOT of overtime this week if I were in your shoes ;).

sorry, I really didn't realize it was such a touchy subject.

You guys are going to piss off the supers...

..."Oneofmany" got banned for shitting in one of those threads...

There's a forum for moanin' and groanin', where such discussions should be carried out, for sure. But it's hard to know when to go there when a discussion isn't yet a full-on discussion. I think most realize that shitting in a sales thread is the biggest no-no there is. Everyone has the right to sell whatever he/she wishes for whatever amount. But that right is subject to the unfettered verbal review of others.

There's a doctrine in law called the "reasonableness" doctrine. While it obviously doesn't apply here, I think most of us have some kind of "reasonableness" doctrine we live by. In my case, the amount being requested violated my own "personal reasonableness doctrine". Having said that, I plan on adding nothing else concerning this subject. Frankly, I had hoped to wake up this morning and not see any further discussion of it.

We are not in the thread though. This is the random thoughts thread, right?

Oh yeah, it's not a problem here. It's just I noticed probably 1/4 of the "back end" contains CPK content right now. There are people stirring up trouble around the forum and the supers are starting to take note. I wouldn't post on a flipper's sale thread right now. Here, go nuts...

thanks Bob, I appreciate your response. Still don't fully understand why buddy was out of line, although the $25 per day value decrease seemed odd to me

Lorien, us old guys get tired early. It actually HAD hit my bedtime and being tired, it was just something I didn't want to deal with then, lol. Today is a new day. And the answer was so simple, it should have popped into my mind last night, but the mind was a tired one without enough energy to compose prose.

Don't go to the moan & groan threads / forum. Last time I was there, something I had posted quite innocuously caused one of those resident a**holes to get too cute to get a rise out of me which Uncle Nathan noticed and had to slap me on the wrist hard. I promised Uncle Nathan to be a good Matty and stay out of there. So my advice: DON'T DO IT :)

I think a lot of folks actually did catch it. You're lucky that someone didn't grab it from you though.

that post earned the title of 'Stupid F#$%ing Post' in the back end. You're lucky you weren't infracted!
