We use Cadweld when we set up the grounding systems for commercial/industrial power systems. I don’t know if it’s thermite but it is an exothermic weld. They are fun to do. You can weld copper to copper or copper to steel (rebar). The end product is pretty bomb proof and can be concrete encased without worrying about corrosion over time degrading the ground path.

Me and a friend were playing a course in Columbus years (a couple decades) ago. There were a couple “holes” right along the edge of the river. I could see a couple discs in the water, so I went in after them. Walking to the first one I spotted a few other discs. I told my friend to get out here. After about an hour we had collected 60+ discs. We sold some to other “golfers” and still took home about 20 discs each.

That's awesome, we always loved disc hunting! Now my lazy ass just leaves them after 4 minutes.
Columbus is where I learned about disc golf back in the late 90's. Was it Riverside park in the Dublin area?
That river ate a lot discs:p but it was a fun course

It was the course on riverside - more the Upper Arlington area - but I’m sure we’re talking about the same course. My favorite Columbus course was Blendon woods. It was the 90’s for me too.
Yep thats it, it was called Griggs reservoir, its on "Riverside" drive(as you said).
I hit a lot of "trees" there, I had to google it.:D
