How would this compare to AEB-L then? Guessing increased toughness and edge holding at the expense of more difficult sharpening? Do you think it could really live up to the claim of a "stainless 4V"? It would have to give up something for the added stainlessness, right?

Larrin has attempted something very innovative. This is unlike anything I've seen before. I have no idea if it's going to live up to those expectations or not, that would be a very tall order. It may be a flop, but it could be groundbreaking. Fingers crossed.

I guess I've never chopped a 2x4 with anything less than a large chopper, but goddamn is that video frustrating, watching him slowly chip away...
Had the same thoughts, which was why I continued skipping ahead until I got to the penny nails near the end.

The only saving grace I could say, about the chipping away at the 2x4, is that although his accuracy is pretty poor, he at least understood the concept of cutting a notch (one of the reasons I like watching Dr Dan's videos is his impressive consistency and accuracy, precisely nailing a previous cut with full power swings).

It's hilarious to me to watch YouTube knife/chopper reviewers who obviously are so clueless about bushcraft, that they just take the knife/Chopper and hammer away at the bottom of the cut, making pathetic progress, then try to comment about the knife's performance. Yeah, I'm going to give that as much credit as a guy magdumping into the dirt, then trying to tell me his thoughts about the gun's accuracy.
