WValtakis WValtakis so I bridged the top of putting up a display or two of knives with the boss again and she asked “do your friends hang knives on their walls? I don’t belive it. Show me a picture.”
So I know you have posted a few pics Would you mind compiling a few here or there for me to easily show my wife?
I know it wasn't directed at me- and you might want to be careful showing this to Mrs. SwarthyGnome🤑🤑🤑- but this is one of only a few knives on display in our home- had it made for Mrs. Loriendesign for her birthday years ago. Mike Quesenberry created it from my design. It's called Rosebud and is themed after Citizen Kane- her favourite movie. It's a mosaic canister damascus full integral, with EDM cut snowflakes, the handle is mother of pearl with bronze pins.

A local wood worker made the shadow box for me, and Mrs. Loriendesign moves it around occasionally, usual seasonal, so it's always somewhere that she can see it the most often. One of my best husband moves to date.

If only I can get Nathan to make me a dagger.....

My wife grew up with a mother who was fearful of any and everything sharp/ gun-like...
my wife and her mother prefer dull knives because they aren't sharp and dangerous. :/

Don’t mind my redneck foil tape, or my messy garage, I’m in a hurry. All I have left is rough in the copper lineset tomorrow night, finish condensate drain, pull a vacuum and turn the bitch on. Finish the little things later.

would you tell me more about what's going on here? I've been considering a heat pump for years, and I think this summer might be the right time to get moving on that. Any advice is appreciated, and I'm reading up

If you guys up north are anything like us in the PNW, that’s probably not happening this summer…I’ve heard heat pumps are hard to find right now and when I got mine Trane told me it was their last one and they won’t be getting another shipment until September. The whole Covid thing really screwed things up, from a manufacturing standpoint to people working from home and all of a sudden everyone wants AC in their house because of it. Any questions you have though I’d be happy to help you out, it’s what I do 😁

House is maintaining 70 after I got out of the hot pull down all night last night. It’s currently 107 outside and it’s cycling on and off instead of running all day. It was 86 in the house when I finally turned it on last night. I had it running earlier yesterday but I wasn’t happy with my suction pressure so I recovered everything and put a different size piston in the indoor coil. Now it runs like an ice box and I am very happy with it! I have a few minor things to finish at a later date but it’s good for now. 46’ of lineset from indoor to outdoor.

I'm trying to figure out what size I need. Been looking at this; https://www.goodmanmfg.com/products/heat-pumps/16-seer-dszc16
unsure of the tonnage we need, it seems like there's a formula for figuring that out but it's in software form that requires $. My reading has lead me to understand that it's not a simple thing for someone like me to figure out and that going too big or too small can make a really big difference with how well the machine works

How many square feet is your house? Single story or two story? What direction does it face and what area does the sun hit during the hottest part of the day?

bout 1600 rancher on a slab, front of the house faces west and kitchen and living room are on the south side of the house. Heat is exclusively baseboard electric and no ac currently

2.5 tons should be plenty then. My house is 1560 two story. I put a 2.5 ton in. I could of oversized it another half ton but I wanted the longer run time to help get all the humidity out of the air. You could probably get away with a 3 ton if you don’t live in a humid place. I live about 40 miles east of Seattle.

North Bend-ish?
I'm on Vancouver Island, winters are ultra humid. Summers are usually pretty breezy
