Anyone try the mCable Cinema Edition (3rd Gen) HDMI cable? Just ordered one...
Just spent a few hours swapping HDMI cables and setting the Roku display resolution between 720p, 1080p and 4K and watching the same scenes across a few shows on Hulu and Netflix. The mCable really only works if the Roku display is set to output the same resolution as the stream. 720p in the case of Hulu and either 1080p or 4K on Netflix. Original cable was a BCJ Series-1 (23.5 AWG). The mCable postprocessing is subtle, definitely more noticeable on 720p streams. Drawback is having to set the Roku display resolution every time you switch between services which stream at 720p versus 1080p versus 4K. Clicking through menus gets old fast, but the improvement (mainly the smoothing of motion blur pixelization, slight contrast adjustments and detail sharpening) is there if you are willing to accept the inconvenience of dialing in the display resolution on a per channel/per show basis...

I used to have a very keen interest in all that videophile stuff a few years way back before my eyesight started to wane. TBT, gave myself a lot of headache going through the same kinda stuff for its time, that Adam is discussing above (before 4K). These days, I'm still watching the same almost 7 years old Samsung HDTV which was the bees knees back in its time :D

I have a $300 smart TV from Costco, it’s like 32” or so and we watch a season of couple shows via Bluray a year. Rest of time TV is in the storage closet. I don’t have cable or anything.

Average person says they feel they have no, or a shortage of free time, and not enough time to get what they categorize as important things done. Average person watches over 5 hours a day. WTF? Then factor in social media, Facebook and screen addiction.

IMO that’s the starter pack for “Why do I get sick all the time?”, “Why does my life suck?” and “I just can’t get ahead.”.

You don’t have time to get important things done, but enough time for 5 hours of TV? That’s a loser mentality right there.

lol...Truth be told, I don't watch TV. At all. Part of it is trying to prevent the kids from becoming tube zombies when they ought to be playing outside. Or cleaning up. Or even fighting with one another. Screen addiction is another matter altogether. Rather, I am addicted to tech  ...

I work 9.5 hours a day, and get every other Friday off. Government worker times. Love it! I have more stuff to do at home than I do at work...

I don't watch TV, but I listen to TV like it's a radio running in the background! Yes, I could listen to my darn iPhone yammering whatever I like in the background, but it's just too darn small o_O

Another field knife posted for sale past my bed time. Can Nathan make it a rule that these must be posted before 10pm eastern time? That's seems completely fair to me
