Random Thought Thread

So I’m not OVERLY well-traveled, but I’ve flown a fair amount for a poor boy. The first time I flew into/out of O’Hare was almost two decades ago and it was so chaotic that it became what I compared all other international airports to (eg “on a scale of one to O’Hare…”) I just flew through it again and had that same feeling of “this feels like barely channeled chaos.” Any well traveled guys want to confirm or deny a similar experience? Or was I just tainted all those years ago and can’t I see that first experience?

I don't travel much any more, but used to quite a lot. O'Hare always struck me as on another level, yes. Always.

the spinny part numbers are wierd. (in my smooth brain anyways) it's odd that they go from 0 to 30. 25 seems like a better number.

idk why they're like this. I like my mitutoyo digi to .0001''

I'm probably wayyyyyyyyyy off.

I see what's wrong with it. They left the junk off the stallion on the logo. That is dumb

I do a bunch of predator control sir. A lion that is that brazen or desperate will take a kid just as fast as a cat, dog or deer......

New kid in class here, timidly raises his hand....

I'm going with the index marks on the barrel. There are three between each division, making each interval worth 0.25. Seems a bit goofy. I think I would prefer 4 index marks making the intervals worth 0.20. Enough index marks to make 0.10 might get a bit crowded.

I don't know if this is what Tinfoil Hat Timmy was also saying, couldn't quite keep up with his comment. I'm old and I'm slow, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Each of the main divisions is half a thou. So that line that one would logically assume is five is actually a 2.5.

They gave 10 ticks for a 5 thou increment. For the life of me I don't understand it. These belonged to a friend of mine who's dead now so I keep them. But every time I go to use them they make my brain hurt. I wish I would have asked him wtf is wrong with your mics when I could have. I'm sure there's a reason but I cannot fathom why they are this way.
