WoW ... didn't realize Okapi were getting so hard to come by. Did a search and found one(1) site in Canada that supposedly has a few and another site with a few but not sure what country they are even in (prices were in dollars though). Neither site is on the B/F Paid Dealer Members List, so won't name them. I just had to keep clicking through the "Okapi" search results. Couldn't find any Okapi info as to why everyone is out of them and nothing on the official Okapi site indicates anything "amiss", so dunno. Guess I'll hold my Baby Sable and Genet slipjoints a little closer LOL. Could not find an Okapi locking knife ANYWHERE ... maybe on the Bay, but with a stupid outrageous price.B BrotherJim
I've never had a real Okapi, they always seemed to be sold out when I had the funds for one. Can't find any now.
I do have 4 or 5 KUDU, 3 or 4 from when they still had German 4116 KRUPP blades, and I think three of the slightly larger now discontinued ELAND.
KUDU or ELAND they work great in the kitchen.
They would probably work out in the boonies and the more remote sticks, but they kept falling out of my pocket, so I left them home.
