Rare GECs

They started off making 50-100 or more of each pattern and handle material back in '06 - '07, with the occasional very small run. Now they usually make only 25-50 of each one, while continuing with very small runs of special handle material. A limited edition for Case is 1,500 pieces, and for most of the other smaller manufacturers maybe 200-600 pieces. Still, even the very rare GECs haven't gone up much in price, yet, in any significant numbers.

I agree, SubSpace. Perhaps not as rugged as a stockman of similar size, but certainly more gentlemanly (and I prefer this blade selection). Thanks for looking.

I would like to see your pix, if you have them of a GEC 2011 Rendezvous Knife, the 46 Whaler with Smooth Ivory Bone Scales with "scrimshaw". There were 30 of these made, they disappeared in 3 days and on the 2nd day they were already at auction for a very hefty price. I think this knife will eventually be the most sought after GEC piece and a key to any serious collection. If you 'em, let's see 'em! PLEASE!
 
Neat thread! Inspired me to poke around in the GEC production number pages just for kicks. Found out that my little Tidioute #25 wharnie is one of nineteen made in Strawberry jigged bone (all non-serialized.)
