Very nice! If that's the #33 I think it is , I came this close to buying it, myself, but I haven't had good luck with ivory in my environs (cracking :(), so I sadly took a pass. Glad to see it in the hands of a friend.

These 2 came in this week. I had to get a LL version to match my other #23 Ebony. The #73 was sharpened up and put to work. I also wanted a user #73 that was a little easier on my nail.
#235111LT Ebony Wood 29 pcs. no serial number
#735111T Burnt Grizzly Cut Bone 27 pcs. no serial number

I don't think these are rare but i just wanted to post them. The GEC Dogleg is one of their most attractive patterns. I love the graceful curves and the natural in-hand feel. I bought one in Ebony when they first came out and recently acquired one with Genuine Stag, which was a run of 34.
Sorry that these pics are not the best, but here goes anyway:

Don't ya just love it when you finally fill one of those annoying gaps in your collection?

I've set my sights on a fairly modest lineup here: all of GEC's standard acrylic (all short runs) on the first issue of the #62 Courthouse whittler. I know of only four for sure; Dead Skunk (9 made), Burnt Sky (4 made), Spring Lilly (11 made) and Tomato (3 made). Just landed the Spring Lilly (center knife in the pics) so only one more to go! Woohoo! (Thanks again, Greg.)

Congrats on the Lily! I'm still looking for the Burnt Sky, Tomato, Black Pearl, and Buffalo ...

That is nice Eric. I have a 2006 in excellent Stag.
Some pretty interesting looking knives in that old catalogue too.

Breathing some life back into the thread with a Bloodwood #33. 1 of 3 made. I believe this was the first time this material was used by GEC, though they recently released another small (6 piece) test run of Bloodwood #65LBs.

Post 'em if ya got 'em.

That Bloodwood is sensational, beautiful grain it has. Oh, the knife isn't so bad either:D:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

Goldenrod Micarta 1 of 20. Excuse the photo I am still learning the process. I was going to put this one back but I like it too much not to carry it......well maybe.

Beautiful example Trand! I still have to take some photos of mine. I really like this one, the lockback is much better than the #72/#42 I am quite happy with mine.

Jeff, that primitive calf roper is sooo gorgeous. Well...so are all of them but if I could dream...

Thanks, Gevonovich. And since you like it, here is a pic of the pile side.
A well matched set of covers, with color and bark on both sides.
