man...I know what Christmas is all about,but I'm still stressed to the eyeballs.
I can't even afford cards,and I haven't been able to make anything really because there ain't nowhere to work,and I haven't the money to get some of the things I need to make what I could with the space I have.
I get to spend New Years with Dolly (she's coming to the Island to be together!),and I'm blessed for that,
but I'm gonna be showing up empty handed to see my kid for Christmas...
and I know the kind of looks I'm gonna get from her mom and family.
Not looking forward to that...

this snow storm is looking beautiful and i'm glad i can be inside where it's warm -but i'd give up the warmth to be at the Bears game, drinking cold ones in the cold if i had the cash! man, it's only right down the road from me!

I just watched "It's A Wonderful Life" last night for the first time since I was a kid,and you know what?
I really do have A Wonderful Life...
I have Family,and Friends,and will be seeing my lil' girl for Christmas,
will be able to put my arms around her and tell her "I love you",
and that is a blessing and gift right there.
I also have my Swamp Family,and that is a gift I treasure also...

Hey Carl, How are them pigs going.

There was a couple down around my bottom paddock last night, I heard the dog barking after them and a bit of grunting going on.
That Kelpie of mine keeps them pretty much out the back beyond the tree line though.
good thing as they can make a mess of a paddock in a short time. A lot of Wallaby's getting around down there lately as well, there coming in for the green pick.

I imagine it's a mite cold up your way these days?

208 or so. Still down. It has been unnaturally warm and dry here so far this year. I hope we get a decent snowpack or summer will suck.

lots of cold, no deer this AM. At least I was able to get out and enjoy the woods, see a fox, and scare the bejeebers out of a jogger. Life is good

wow, that Bears game yesterday was a good one to miss in person! especially since the bar down the street had the game on and a deal for a gigantic bleu burger, fries and a tall can of Pabst for 7 bucks :eek::D:thumbup:
the snow was whipping around in that wind like crazy yesterday. goggles would most certainly have kept the eyeballs a little more comfortable. oh well, at least i didn't pay NFL prices to see my team quit before the game started.
