Don't blame you mate. My Dad comes from Dungog and Mum came from Forbes - hard to tell which gets hotter ! Spent every summer holiday as a kid in Dungog - all of them hot. Ryhope is not far away, no ! :)

I went up to Nambour once - 48 degrees and 98% humidity. That was a touch warm for me......

Day 208....I think.

You need to become a gold member or higher to be able to insert an avatar. Once you have it it stays there even after that membership runs out.

We get similar weather here to Cessnock and that's hot enough. :D

all this talk about hot weather and i'm shivering in my sweats, waiting for the heater to warm up this joint! well, i guess it's one way or the other, outside of Spring, Fall, or Hawaii :D
 
Okay, we just got an update about the Rat chat forum. Our webguy has been working on it, he removed the virus/or whatever it was. He has contacted our website Host and they said that they have to verify that the file has been removed and then they'll be able to open the forum back up again. (they claim it will be within 24 hours but they are by no means speedy)

Once the forum is up I will give a reasonable amount of time for all contest participants to get back and then the contest will start again the day it went offline (or if someone has a reasonable guess as to the day we are on we can start on that day) no one will lose because of this outage, however, keep checking the forums because once it is back everyone that is still on the contest needs to check in and post their next "day"

Nice shooting Carl...
Only shooting I ever did was on a shooting range, with limited bullets and a cardboard target.... It sucked, because the rifle they gave me was bent and I didn't get any ear protection:-/ I had a "wistle" in my ears for days:grumpy:

I wish I could go out with one of you guys and learn the real deal about hunting and shooting a rifle... mmmm maybe one day?

There are still plenty of rabbits, pigs, deer and goats here, Neus - introduced by settlers, the wild ones are destroying the ecosphere ( aka the bush ) :(
You are welcome here anytime to shoot as many goats and pigs as you can - they destroy the water holes etc. :grumpy:

Still no Swamp - she'll be coming 'round the mountain when she comes....

Thanks for the flowers, fellas, but LUCKY shooting is closer to the truth. There was no true "target" save those yellow eyes, and no real skill save a quick-enough double-tap to shave both sides. Only one bullet hit home, which means his body was to his right with his head turned right to look at me. Could not actually see (black pig, black background). Wish I could've found him that night, he was good eating size.

Dogtired - I get a different message now from Rat Chat. Used to be the old 404-Forbidden.
Now it's Page not found.
I THINK the IP and address will be the same and that the Swamp is slowly being brought back........it is not 404/forbidden now.
Still down as of this minute on Day # 206 or what ever day it is.......
