RAT Cutlery Announces Name Change

I think that the new ESEE logo on the left of that announcement would make a killer patch. My one detractor is that "ESEE Knives" doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as "RAT Cutlery." I guess I'll get used to it. :p I agree that it's a wise choice, given the circumstances.

The RAT pack will remain the RAT pack for the time being. Once we have 1000 members the pack will be renamed. There is no talk of what the name will be. As we get close we'll open the idea up for discussion

Maybe it will do better on the NYSE, ESEE as opposed to RAT. There are enough Rats on Wall Street right now, don't need to muddy the waters. :D

I like the new name and logo, but it is the products that matter. As long as it the same high quality stuff, lifetime warrenty and super customer service I will keep buying. Of course the new ESEE offering make it easy to want to do that. I can wait for the Jungalas and those Izula scales. What about the H.E.S.T? Does it stay the same? Best of luck with the name change.

Again, EVERYTHING stays the same except the name, logo and branding.

I like the name and new logo, so is this because of OKC RATS, Swamp Rats or both?
does this mean we get ESEE Pack knives too :D

Kinda saw that coming... Now I'm giddy as a schoolgirl. Course...should I keep all the RC's I just got pretty so I can trade 'em to TTD in a year or so....naw....

So maybe this has been asked already and might be a stupid question but when you say the name do you spell it out E-S-E-E? Or is it said like the word Easy? Just wondering, how everyone is saying it and what the official way is?

I suspect it's supposed to be pronounced ay-say, but I could be totally wrong, I've had lots of practice at that.

could be similar to how NYS is pronounced "New York State" when reading it, and just say the whole deal. Since most of us never really pronounce this stuff anyways and just type it..... I'm not too worried about telling a log what it's about to be hit with :)

As I knife maker, I really admire and respect you guys, for a variety of reasons. I've been toying around with brand names for my knives, it's tough to find something that has a ring to it.

EC anyone ?

EC-3, EC-4, EC-5, EC-6...

Or maybe EZ.

EZ-3, etc.

Do you realize how many electrons and how much time we'll be wasting typing now? Ex. typing out ESEE-3 instead of RC-3, or ESEE-5 instead of RC-5?

This could be the collapse of civilization as we know it...
Well, at least we'll be prepared.

Think of all the time saved not explaining the entire story every time someone comes in here and asks if he should get a RAT-7 or an RTAK.... or or or, etc and so forth. I'll gladly gladly gladly type out two more letters.
