I see a lot of people removing the paint from their knives. Does doing that void the warranty? And does it cause any long term problems for the steel?

Arrived yesterday: my Izula.
Didn't unpack it yet.

Did I mention I really like the Desert Tan look?

i may be a bit dim but can someone tell me in lay-mans terms how to put photo's onto this forum!

Rather than removing paint, I've added some .....

....... to the sheaths.

Don't like Tan or Black, totally like Foliage Green :D

So, I've sprayed the sheaths.

I know, I know - it's still pretty. Don't worry, it'll be getting more love soon. I let it eat up some driftwood after these pics though, so no malnourishment here :D

I am enjoying the photo's but have noted one consistency.

It seems to be a pissing match to see who has the biggest Gun/Grenade/Penis to snuggle up to their RAT knife.

Jim, you need to upload your photos to a hosting site (photobucket, flickr) and then link the image address/url in your comment. There's a little icon in the comment window, 3rd from right on second row on the top. It looks like a pic of some mountains, click on that, and then paste the url of your hosted image in the box that pops up.

Or you can just copy the image url, and type this in:

I]

Hope that helps

ETA: There's a little box in photobucket next to an image you're viewing that says something like "image tag", you can also just copy and past that here as well.

Love that little knife.

Looks like the knots put a lot of wear on the coating, but still, if this is the only knife you have in a survival situation, you will still be able to split firewood with it and don't break it while doing so.

I couldn't leave it alone. It was screaming for some more grip. I love this knife and I can't wait to get my hands on another one.
