We are turning in a P.O. today for 600 machete blanks from Imacasa. These will be 18" machetes with the Condor convex edge. They will be shipped to Shon to put Micarta handles on and laser enrgave. As soon as Shon gets them handled we will start shipping these to dealers.

To hold costs down, the standard machete will not come with any type of a sheath. We are having a manufacturer quote making a cheap Cordura sheath to offer as a future option.

Let's see how many million questions there will be about this simple post :D

Jeff

Question# 1 answer: no shipping date or cost known yet.

Question # 2 answer: the blades will be coated with Imacasa's standard black coating

Question # 3 answer: We plan on using green canvas micarta handles but don't know exactly how we are going to attach them yet.

Question # 4 answer: have not decided about the warranty yet since the blade is coming from El Salvador.

Question # 5 answer: we don't know what we are going to call it yet.

Refer all other questions to Mrs Shotgunner since she does not have enough to keep her occupied!

I think you should just call it the RAT Machete - it is what it is- keep it simple!!!

Sweet....Can not wait for the release... Call it :
Capybara, Its common name, derived from Kapiÿva in the Guarani language means "master of the grasses"

One quick question... What's the thickness like? Are we talking flexy springy or stout?

but it's made out of spring steel so it ought to spring, right?
