I understand the sentiment, but it's a bit silly to refer to them as "broken." Even parenthetically.

For the last two days my new Izula.
(In pocket, I tether the sheath to a belt loop with a bit of gutted paracord)
Before that for some time my primary blade was a Gerber Paraframe II plain edge.
I also frequently have a Ka-Bar TDI LDK on a neck lanyard.
Even cord wrapped it is incredibly discrete.

I don't know about a broken knife, but there is defiantly nothing broken about my Microtech. I would like to EDC an Izula, but I don't know about carrying a fixed blade. It seems like it would be very difficult to conceal and draw quickly for practical use. I'll just have to get one and find out . Until then the HEST I just ordered will have to do.

I rotate between the Delica4, Mini Griptilian and Ritter Mini Griptilian, as well as the three watches.
Everything else is pretty much my standard EDC on me. I do carry other stuff in my Spec-Ops Pack-Rat Drop-In organizer, which is carried in a LowePro laptop backpack.
Where I live it's probably not worth the hassle of carrying a fixed blade, although once my Izula is either wrapped or dressed with scales I may start EDCing that.

i've edc'd a benchmade 940 for about 6 years now, and the old style zytel ti-lite for the last 4 or so. occaisonally a buck 110 and a sog powerlock ride along. hopefully the izula will be my new edc...

If I dont have an Izula on me.. you can bet that about any folder in my pocket will have a Spyderco Spyderbug on it.

i bought that for about 10 bucks. you can find it on ebay. it works really well in the hand. and dont limit the striking motions and directions like a kubaton. (icepick grip limits.)hwpaintballer: i spotted earlier you have the same

usually it's a large classic sebenza or a busse NEDC, but I'll force myself to rotate through some of my other favorites on occasion: busse BAD or meaner, benchmade 940 or 770 if I need something small, spyderco G10 endura or goddard or d'allara, protech TR3 for special occasions. carrying a fixed blade is never a problem, you just have to have the right sheath for it.
