rc6 vs snake

I also kill any and all snakes that are found in the areas where my kids and animals play.

Just won't take the risk of them getting bit and being afraid of snakes forever or worse.

Now if you really want to get the freaks wounds up they should sit out here around my garden and watch me pick off Cardinals, Crows and any other damn bird trying to eat on my groceries I have planted in the ground.

i'm reporting you to peta! people for eating tasty animals, that is. :D

My lady has a pet ball python named Pretzel.

i had a ball python a few times. ended up giving them away. what a pain, such picky eaters! they'd only come out when they're hungry and after they've been fed they go right back to hiding. the morphs are extremely expensive too! the red tails and other boas on the other end of the spectrum are always freaking hungry and grow insanely large. i've settled on milk/king snakes in the mean time.

and if you marinade it long enough, goat is right tasty as well.

yup, prepared right, goat is good eats. although even in my culture the city folks relegate them to "finger foods", usually when people are drinking the hard stuff and want something to snack on.

well, never too early to acquaint the kids to the more tamer snake breeds, such as this honduran albino king snake. prices have come down drastically over the years. they often can be found at around $100, or less nowadays. their fruity colors are a hit with kids. ...and being king snakes, they also munch on other snakes - even the venomous ones!

snakes are a lot like knives & knife owners - they get an undeserving bad rap because of a few cases...knowledge and familiarity dispels fear in my humble opinion.

Hi, I have raised our 4 kids on our farm here in Aust. Our snake problem is something we take seriously. Our main one is the Common Brown snake, second most venomous snake on Earth. Next is the Red Bellied Black snake, Probably still kill you but may not, and not very aggressive. They eat other snakes, especially the browns, so we try to keep them alive if I can and kill the browns on sight. A big Brown can have up to 125 live young at a time, so if the Blacks are killed the much much much worse Browns quickly breed up and are everywhere.
We put out very thin bird netting around the house and the snakes get in it and they cannot get out of it. They quickly die in the sun. We usually get several each year around the house. The netting gets them.
It is an interesting thing but the most important bit of kit I take when out bush is a coupe of 6" bandages in case of snake bite, working on the theory that if you need one, two are better!:D even before a knife!

I work as a pest control tech. as my day job and spend a lot of time wrangling snakes and other varmants off of peoples properties.

While I agree that snakes get a bad rap for the most part, some of the common varieties here in Texas can be fairly aggressive. I've seen and had quite a few bad bites from the Rat snake like the one Dave killed and the one I ate.

Couple that with the fact that of my three girls, my oldest has Down Syndrome and my youngest is only 2 and has balls of steel. Those two will pick up anything and everything that moves.

Snakes pose a threat here at the shotgunner shack and are eliminated as such.

While out and about in the woods my girls get the education they need as that's a controlled environment with daddy watching over their interaction with the animals and were in their domain instead of the other way around.
