Ready for my first RAT, but which one?

There is no stupid questions as long as you learn from the answers. When someone says OD blade they are referring to the color coating on the knife. The four colors that RAT uses are, black (most common), olive drab (second most common), tan (a little bit rarer to see on RATS), and tactical pink (which is only used on some Izulas).

Some of the color combinations like tactical pink, and texastony orange G10 has been influence if not came directly from this sub forum.

My favs are a pink Izula (great conversation piece) EDC, an OD RC-3 for my work bag, and the classic black RC-4 for the bush. The more I hang around and learn from this group, the more I want a color for every occasion, like accessorizing an outfit.

When I use a pink Izula, I find my pinky sticking out away from the rest of my fingers. It has started when I drink coffee too. And I have been drinking more tea.

Come to think of it, I am liking the flavored teas and I like the dishes to all match.

I set it all on a doily and use a napkin. It all started with a pink Izula.

Is that normal?

Ive decided to go with OD for my Izula, and a black combo blade black sheah RC-5.

I would recommend Ebay, I'll look up the sellers name when I get home. I would mail you some free but I just used it all up the other day.


I believe it is about $7 for 100 ft.

My first RAT, which I received a few days ago, is the RAT 4. It's perfect, thickness, weight, and length; and it looks like a tough blade! I like it!
