Real and fake knives

One of my fav knifes of all time have allot of fake copy's out of it as well, the kershaw boa. every time i see someone at the gun and knife shows selling this crap, it makes me a little sick
 
All these manufacturers that took their business to China, for the sake of larger of profit aren't exactly not to blame, for the proliferation of all these copycat goods, knives and all the rest. Of course that's not a popular subject, with many here even if it is true.
 
Important not to be penny wise and quality foolish. I would not want a forgery/counterfeit knife for any low price. Prior to ordering my Becker BK5 recently from Amazon that posted it ships the BK5 directly (and not through another vendor), I called Ka-Bar to verify that they sell directly to Amazon. They do. There are of course many cases when an authentic knife goes from manufacturer to distributor to dealer to consumer which then makes it a bit more challenging to verify.
 
You really think the Chinese can't make a decent performing cloned knife? This video although not in English seems to point out that they indeed can and do...

They make things a heck of a lot more complicated, that we use everyday so of course if they put their abilities to it they can make a knife, even if it is cloned. I'm not saying we should support them, just stating a fact.
 
About all I have to add to this is to do your research before dropping the cash. If it is too good to be true it probably is. Counterfeits are a big business in some places, travelling around the Mideast I saw more of this stuff than I care to think about. I had a guy in my unit who bought a bunch of fake Rolexes and Gucci bags for presents.
 
There's nothing very impressive in that fake Sebenza video. I think any cheap lockback would perform as well, and the fake Sebenza isn't cheap.

Remember, these are the same people who brought you poison baby formula and fake medications.
