Reate Knives-Users' opinion and collections

WSmith have you tried a small dab of blue Loctite . I have had the Horizon A for over a month and I am extremely impressed with the build quality and flips better than my ZT 0801 or my Brous T4. As you mentioned before that your pivot screw has loosened up again, this has occurred with many makes I've had over the years and a small amount of blue Loctite seems to remedy the situation, good luck.
Thanks, I'll try that.

I have a T4 as well and honestly I think the Reate is a nicer knife in every aspect. Really wouldn't even put them in the same league actually.

I am also curious about any upcoming designs. Are you planning on sticking to just flippers? Really any info on the future of Reate would be greatly appreciated.

For the time being, we are focus on the flipper. The upcoming designs will be flippers.

🎄🎄 Merry Christmas to all of my friends and family !🎄🎄🎉🎊🎈🎉🎊🎉🎉🎄

I cleaned my hills for the first time last night, and I must say it was an absolute pleasure to disassemble and reassemble this thing. I had a bad experience taking apart a pm2 which has made me a little gun shy lately when it comes to taking apart my knives, but this one couldn't have been easier.

How does the Horizon-C differ from Horizon-B? Any pictures?

Check out David's Instagram and look at the last 7 pictures. http://instagram.com/reateknives/

The C Model is essentially a combination of the Horizon and Hills models. Comes in with the Horizon size factor, Hills handles and a drop point blade with a nice fuller that accentuates the milling work of the handles. 3.75 inch blade.

One of the main attractions aside from the improved asthetic design is probably the multi-row bearing system. David has promised me the first one in the US (Right David? :D ), so you can expect a full HD review at some point in January. I want the one with the really dark handles, almost looks black but that could be the picture filter.

The addiction never ends...

I got the Horizon B and love it. I considered ZT801 to be a great flipper, but it feels heavy compared to Reate.

I see the extra ball bearings. It must glide out smoother than silk!

I like the handle design more like Hills and the channel on the blade plus shape. I guess it will cost less to mill than the intricate pattern on the A & B models. Definitely like the Hills pivot screw on the C.
