Reate productions on par with high-end mid-techs?

Got it and glad you have so many other options. It looks like it's what you personally NEED to carry, not what you WANT to carry as stated earlier. When you refer to a knife for "the masses", it includes only you and now we better understand your situation and perspective.

For the rest of us, here are a few more photos of smaller titanium frame lock flippers. Both the Zipslip and the Envoy included as what most consider very small category knives. If anyone is looking for a small, light, mid-tech level Ti flipper, the WAVE is worth a look.

Getting Reates on the exchange at a discount really puts them on a whole new level. Just got a horizon D that was custom anodized,for 238.00 that is insane for this knife with an incredible ano job.

Oh! I got my new Torrent today! This knife needs the be seen and held in person. Pictures do not show the stunning details. What a knife!!!!
I will get some good pics tomorrow!!

Lock strength, details, fit/finish, overbuilt, slicing capabilities, smoothness of pivot, figure guillotine (this could be a bad thing to some) hisyory looks and price.


So depending on outlook and the order of importance of those factors will cause your preferences to change.

Reate is nice but not perfect. Their ergos don't mesh perfectly with me.

I still haven't found the perfect knife. I want the ergos of a Hinderer, durability of a cold steel, slicing of a CRK, action of a Gareth Bull, and the looks of Olamic or Reate for the price of a Kershaw or Ontario . Sadly no one has made such I knife so I must keep buying knives hoping I find it, lol.

It is huge.
It chops things.
It fits on your belt (kgd had a picture of me climbing a tree while wearing it...wish I still had that picture :( ).

It will make you the most interesting person in the world. ;)
