Probably just a hidden tang secured with epoxy. I don't see a pin or anything . That's more or less the traditional style in that part of the world. The only ones I've seen pinned are for western buyers.
It wasn't meant as a slant on the knife. Randall makes several models that are only secured to the handles via epoxy. I've got several, and a Mod. 14 CDT comes to mind. I have done some serious chopping with that blade, and the epoxy has held up fine. I was hesitant to expect much from only epoxy, but I spoke to Gary Randall, and he did make me feel a little more comfortable about it.
So, if it's done right, should not be a problem.
