A similar knife was called the HI "Friendship Knife", but the one Yangdu has is more "pointy".

Thanks to the kindness and thoughtfulness of a fellow HI forum member, I received my first full sized Khukuri today.

Thamar Dui Chirra ~ 17" OAL - this is a work of art in my eyes and the fullers are beautifully wrought. Compliments to Thamar Kami & the rest of the HI crew.

Thanks for all your help here on this sub and to the forum member for helping me get my "first".

:)
Glad I could help ya get started bro! Hope you enjoy a lifetime of use and it will prolly last you and your family more than a generation of use. Grats on one of the finest first Khuks you could possibly have. She has all the best traits Thamar has to offer. The fullers on that one were the best ive seen yet! Enjoy!

Put me on that list for sure. Thats an amazing knife! Beautiful sheath as well:thumbup:

:O *jaw on floor* that knife is crazy beautiful. And not just the knife itself but that scabbard too!! Honestly a bit too pointy for my taste, but I really dig that Friendship knife. Too bad my teeth are still dull!

Auntie, you have such great hand-models. Careful they aren't stolen by one of them fancy watch companies!

Oh and that's a very healthy looking Philodendron Selloum, just be careful, they're pretty toxic :)

i like the pointy hmong one in auntie's post 583 more than the stubbier one in 584. put me on the list if we don't have to pay till they arrive, i need time for my bank balance to recover from xmas.

p.s. - that thumar duichirra is a gorgeous work of art for sure.

Very nice.

Philllll, That's just beautiful! How much does it weigh, and how thick is the spine?

Congrats Phil
I got one last time :)
Great Khuk anyhow it's a bit too heavy for me so I sent it back to UB and he sold it to one of HI customer friend in one of the early HI gath.
Another heavyweight Khuk that I'd let go to my local 6 footer friend was a 25" Siru made by Sonu.
