Never seen or heard of rings like that. Seems like a great invention, far better than a glove or leather tab.
I never used a glove or a release, only a tab. I was practicing or hunting in those days.

Never saw a good thing about releases for those scenario's.

Of course releases aren't even an option for your type of archery.

And these metal ones are even better than the resin ones I've been running.

More secure and peace of mind it won't crack when pulling heavier bows

my bronze one has a wrist lanyard to keep me from losing it. :)

and just for the heck of it, the sword i'm holding is a custom 9c magyar sabre by viktor berbekucz from hungary.

sword and bow stuff is awesome!

I've always wondered if thumb ring was removed if sword is drawn or if it was kept on.

I tried bow shooting the other day with pistol snap cap-dummy ammo practice. The thumb ring doesn't seem to get in the way.

The finger ring doesn't get in the way shooting the pistol? Is that what I read?

You still shooting in the kitchen? With snap caps too?

I find myself pondering....................with a good pistol on your hip, what's the bow for? I'll keep pondering.

The bow is in case someone tries to steal the pistol. And vice-versa.

Then you need a knife in case someone tries to steal the bow and pistol.

I should have thunk of that. I got the little bowie on the left to protect the 45 on the right.
The bow makes perfect sense now. Thanks for the whack up side the head to dislodge my thinking abilities.

I've not watched Walking Dead nor do I know Darryl. I guess I lead sort of a sheltered life cuddled up in my bunker which doubles as a sand box with all the sand bags.

I'll try to catch an episode, I just gotta know Darryl.

Let's hope that Daryl is still alive when the next episode airs. Probably so. I think that Eugene is the one who gets fed to Lucille.

This Lucille must be one ornery downright mean sort of woman huh?

Still alive, I thought they was all dead from the get go. I only see the advertisements, never seen the show.

Negan (played by the actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, with a wonderfully sinister smile) is the arch-villain, a sort of warlord in the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead. Lucille, the bat, is his favorite implement for teaching people a lesson. Evidently the "lesson" is for those who watch Negan beat someone to a bloody pulp with Lucille. At the end of the last season finale it was left as a cliffhanger which of our favorite characters was the pulpee.

Oh, yall didn't say it was rated R for major violence and no sex!

I'm kind of sensitive don't cha know? Plus my mommy makes me go to bed at 10 or sometimes even 9 if she's unhinged.

That's not unhinged. Putting your chair in the attic afterwards does qualify, especially if she goes to visit her sister for a few days after doing so.

The scariest times of my life are parked at the top of a set of stairs with her in a questionable mood.

Even my granddaughter blackmails me. I sit in my recliner and she pushes the chair off, leaves it across the room and then runs off to do something else. Had to crawl for it more than once.

wwII, col. 'mad jack' churchill, a scot, of the commandos went ashore leading his troops with his basket hilted sword in hand, service revolver on his hip, followed by a piper. he captured a trench full of a company of germans one at a time with it. he was also the UK's national archery champion. has the last british longbow combat kill, skewered a german sgt. on sentry duty. wounded in half a dozen places in greece, he was captured after being knocked unconscious by grenades, escaped from a concentration camp, made his way across europe to italy and walked up to a US unit then back to the UK for further duty in burma. he is known for the motto: "Any officer who goes into action without his sword is improperly dressed." at the end of ww2, Churchill was said to be unhappy with the sudden end of the war, saying: "If it wasn't for those damn Yanks, we could have kept the war going another 10 years!"

if you wrote a biography of his life, nobody would believe it. see this wikipedia entry on him.

special forces apparently still use crossbows to advantage, quieter than a sound suppressed firearm.

the colonel is on the right
