Recommend me a Busse Knives

Price isn't an issue, and I'm looking for one that could be used for combat. Sorry I didn't clarify before.

"Combat" knives these days are used more as tools than weapons. Clarify what you mean. Are you wanting a fighter, or a blade to take into the field for a variety of purposes.

never held one, but the jack hammer looks sweet and mean

there are probably some on the exchange right now. you won't find any on wither of the busse websites, as there are not being offered right now.

I believe its out of production, you'll have to look in the secondary market for it, or the Busse exchange at BF!

If I had to choose (and this is only dreaming), how about an Argonne Assault with the knuckles? lol.

i'm a big fan of the 3b2. it's a thinned down ash, feel's good in the hand and is very quick with a great balance.

1/300 shbm.

Can never go wrong with a SHSH or SHBA.

It seems a little unreasonable to suggest to someone currently serving in the military to look for hard to find, out of production knife that will cost him $800 - $1500

How about something easier to find, at a more affordable price? A skinny ASH1 or a SARSquatch could be had for $280 - 350, no? Either would make for a tough field utility knife. A user NMSFNO is little bigger and heavier, for $300 - 350.

Echer123, welcome to BladeForums, and the Busse corner! Tell us more about what you need the knife to do, and we will be better able to suggest some options. This is a great time to be a Busse buyer, the Sale forum is choked with knives, great deals out there for a careful, patient shopper.

The Ash1 would be tough to beat as well. great retention on the handle. I think if I was humping one around with a bunch of gear that I would certainly try to find a skinny. I have the CG version, which is a thick beast. I love it. But I also don't have to carry around a duty pack, with water, and ammo, and grenades, and etc, etc, etc. It would be a great all arounder and would not be too long for most military organizations (I know that some have a blade length restriction).

I would recommend a SH-E. It's an awesome, simple design that is fairly lightweight and very useful.
