Hey guys,
I recently broke a lock on a really strong knife and cut my finger really bad. Somehow im tired of sending the product back. I think its smarter to buy an extremely unbreakable knife, folding knife or even machete.
Can anyone suggest me some?
Price range max. 200 dollars (if it needs to be, even more)

What are you doing with these knives that is causing them to break?

Yes, we need to know what product you broke, how you broke it and what you are doing with your knives. No candy coating things.
Remember, a knife is a tool. There are right tools for the right job.
If you are using the wrong tool, it will fail.
And there is not such thing as "unbreakable".

OK thx anyways it was like this: Its the buck marksman a 135 dollar folding knife. The edge retention is amazing, I batoned thru a 4 inch log without big problems. Only the strap (its the lock) bent a little bit. Months after this I opened the knife and stabbed just for fun. The fourth stab the knife closed. it cut me right in my finger a really nasty cut ( I can post a picture if you want, it just happened yesterday). Today I wanted to bend it back and the strap broke. Im really sad...
If you want I can poste pictures.

You batoned through a log with a folder, it seems like it's your fault it broke and not the knifes. Literally any fixed blade would have been a better choice to do that with.

The batoning only bend it and not broke it. I broke it trying to bend it back later on. A folding knife is maybe the only tool youd have in a survival situation I was testing this. ( I really learned from that)

As far is batoning through a 4 inch log goes, I don't have a folder reccomendation. There's plenty of tactical/combat focused knives that'd do fine with the stabbing. You can baton some logs if you MUST in an ACTUAL survival situation, but for just general work that really ought to be left to a fixed blade. Or hatchet/axe for that matter.

Any recommendations on that? Wildsteer W Tiger Machete or Pro Tool Industries Woodman's Pal Premium?

This is not the knifes fault. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear.
If you think you will find yourself in a survival situation, ditch the folder and carry a small fixed blade. ESSE 3" or 4" .
Just b/c you see guys on YouTube batoning with a folder, doesn't mean it's meant to be done.
Back to the right tool for the right job.
If preparedness is your main need, then I suggest you reassess your system and add the proper tools.

What kind of situations are these needs for? Can you pack a hatchet or folding saw (Silky)? Those would be best for wood processing
Do you need a machete? That is for cutting through thatch, not batoning and splitting wood either.
There is a misconception that all wood needs to be cut to be processed. Not true. Break it over your knee or stomp on it to get to the dry internals.
No need to split 6" logs to get a fire going.

Well the 1st mistake you made was using a folder....

The 2nd mistake was battoning with a folder....

The 3rd mistake was using a folder with a lock that was out of spec..... Compromised/damaged.....

There are very few folders that will actually hold up to that type of abuse, even less that will hold up to it repeatably....

If you want to do those things with a knife there are a number of fixed blades that are made for that and the Companies actually say they can be used for that purpose.....

- If you only have a folding knife in a survival situation, you're most likely not going to be ready for a real survival situation. As others have mentioned, almost ANY fixed blade is going to be a better choice.

Folding knives fold. Especially when you stab with them repeatedly. Especially after you have wrecked the lock by batonning with the lock engaged. Problem is not with the knife.

Thank you guys for helping me. I like discussions with such people. Looks like the Buck Marksman is a really good folding knife but I abused it. I learned my lesson, there will be probably even a scar on my finger XD. Thats why im going to buy next a large fixed blade or a machete of some sort.
And Ankerson which few knives do you mean Zts?

I wouldn't recommend any for that type of use..... As all of them will develop problems.....

You would be better off with a heavy duty FB and an SAK....

I think you are under the mistaken impression that a knife will give you a survival skill set. You have done multiple things incorrectly. Spend some time reading the appropriate sub forums here and you will learn a great deal. The most important survival tool is between your ears.

The worst mistake was doing something with the only knife/tool on hand that would damage it......
