Recommendations for a new EDC Blade?

Closest I have to your request is the Sage1. Wonderful carry blade, but I see you've tried it already.

I haven't held one yet, but the ESEE Zancudo (are they even out?) it's a steel linerlock and 3" AUS-8 blade. Thumbstud, but no flipper. They call it drop-point though it looks kinda spear to me.
For under $30 preorder, it would be worth testing out.

The Masserin Atti looks quite nice, too.

As for anyone finding "their perfect knife" - I have found mine. PM2 with black Micarta scales. CuScaDi does 'em in burgundy, too. Kinda over your price limit and blade length, but I carry it in all kinds of pants and hardly know it's there until I need it.

it does not have a pocket clip but has full liners so im sure it would be easy to tap a few holes for a clip
and i took the bottom picture in middlecove newfoundland canada on the east coast trail
cheers, happy to help with your hunt

It looks like some beautiful country.

I have checked out Cuscadi. I priced some custom micarta for my Vantage but its on the steep side. they make some kick ass stuff though.

I'm not so sure about that guy. If I were going to get one like that I would get the Ontario RAT 2. but, again...those guys are so similar the the Vantage that there is no point.

its a thread form a hike i did lots of nice pictures of knives and scenery

Nice, I was just up in the San Juan Islands in Washington State doing some hiking and Crabbing. I love the coastlines up there. this weekend I will be spear fishing on Catalina Island California.

Just seen one in another thread it's a volcan Coronado sweet looking asstied flipper Around 25 dollars I want one now lol I'm on a iPad and can't figured out how to copy links

Benchmade Griptilian?? Right size, different neat exotic steels available. Not sure about the lock (don't have one). Might be just right.

So, Ive reviewed everything. Im still not sure, but the Enzo Birk75 Is catching my eye a lot for some reason. It doesnt have 2 of my requirements but a lof of the others. I've never had a scandi grind so that intrigues me as well. Anyone have any further insight?

Hey Jake I just saw this thread, have you ever had the newer Cold Steel Voyagers? Their medium sized one has a 3 inch stone washed blade. Drop point, it takes an edge fairly quickly and the lock is very secure. Although the handle on it is somewhat similar to the Griptilian, not sure if you would mind though seeing how it is still a very strong handle.

Thanks for the recommendation, for some reason I have never liked cold steel. I really am not a fan of FRN for sure. Lock backs maybe but for some reason the "plastic" handles just make knives seem cheap to me. I may just be picky but it's a preference. If they had them in another handle type I might consider it.

Cold steel for some reason just rubs me the wrong way. They seem to exude the "we can help you kill someone" image with all of their slicing and stabbing test videos out there. I had an American lawman for a bit and it was ok....

Ok, so this may sound like I am a jerk here but, while most of you who have made recommendations have read my original post and I thank you for your thoghts...Some people clearly didnt read it at all. I feel as though this is sort of a random smattering of lack of respect and serious lack of attention span. In my original posting, I gave a list of requirements.....blade 3" or less was one, yet there have been a barrage of knife suggestions that clearly exceed that limit.

Read people!
