Recommendations for a new EDC Blade?

Ok, so this may sound like I am a jerk here but, while most of you who have made recommendations have read my original post and I thank you for your thoghts...Some people clearly didnt read it at all. I feel as though this is sort of a random smattering of lack of respect and serious lack of attention span. In my original posting, I gave a list of requirements.....blade 3" or less was one, yet there have been a barrage of knife suggestions that clearly exceed that limit.

Read people!

Get a sebenza. :foot:

Yup, you do. However, I agree with the general notion that folks should read better. I probably would recommend that the person asking for the help would not be the person that points this out, generally...

So I will,

READ PEOPLE.

:)

Unless you mean me. Then I would just say good luck...

the spyderco military is my recommendation for an edc knife no matter what price range it is. i have carried the same military for several years now and to me it is the perfect edc. it is a fantastic cutter, very comfortable, very light, has a nice pocketclip ( tip down is more perfered with this knife because of size),rides in the pocket well, has awesome s30v steel, and has a few handle and blade colors to chose from. they can be found for about 140 bucks. i carry my military over my sebenza, strider sng and xm-18 3.5 every time.

No, I didn't mean you. The Sage 1 Is a tiny bit beyond 3". I'm more refering to people who were recomending the 3.5" and the knives that are like $200-$300+

I had a sage and liked it, though the blade was really wide. All that aside, I'm not sure but for some reason it didnt jive with me, can't really say why.

Nice knife, too big though.

Kick ass picture though, Love the mountains!

I edc a PM2, great knife but seriously look into a Kershaw volt 2, it will be my next knife for edc.

I looked at the Volt 2's a while back, the problem with them (as far as I am concerned) Is the handle is crazy thick for such a small knife. I dont know why kershaw makes some of their knives so dang chunky. It's the same with the Clash.

I wish ZT would make a smaller folder with at 3" blade...like a 0560 but small. I know they are coming out with a new one with a 3.25" blade but thats still a little on the large side for my EDC preference.

As a followup to yesterdays statement....Thanks guys for all of the knife ideas that are within the realm of the specs I laid out. You have for sure given me some pretty good candidates.

I just wish some company would come up to me and say..."Hey, would you like us to make a knife according to your design? We'd love to. " That's never gonna happen though, lol.

BM Mini Onslaught one is on the bay for right in your price range. If the blade is too big the mini ascender is really cool too.

While it does not meet all your criteria, OP, take a look at the Benchmade 707 Sequel. It is an excellent EDC type folder and different enough from your Buck Vantage to make it worth the while, imo.

Good luck! :)

I just picked up a Benchmade 814 Mini AFCK. This is an awesome knife! Well at least I think so. Very light and thin. i don't even feel it in my pocket. It feels much lighter than my other EDC a Spyderco Tenacious.

Thanks guys. Youve been really helpful.

I think im gonna go with the Enzo Birk 75. Now i just have to pick blade steel and handle material. Blegh, more damn decisions.

Any tips?
