Red alert traditionals!

Case is famous for Redbone! I guess from after WWII some time, up into the 1970s, and to current times as well!

Back to Case, here's an evolution series of Cattle knives, culminating in Classic Redbone. From the bottom, a form of old Rodgers bone; next Tested era Greenbone; then a fine example of XX Redbone!

I am realizing the greatness of the Victorinox Huntsman II. My sister just used it to open her birthday present and said she might need a SAK.

Nice to see a Mora on show, the obvious choice but so obvious it got overlooked!:D

S-K Rich bone on that Böker Congress, very bright blades too.

Charlie I really think the Whittler pattern of all patterns, shows off the excellence of CASE Redbone of yesteryear. Choice selection

Many thanks, Will.

Well, if you can only have one Red in your collection, a SAK is the one to have:D:thumbup:

Radio-Active  Proof that contemporary Redbone is a knockout too

My Anniversary TC Barlow finally made it here! It is a deep, purplish red. The lighter patch in the center is really only notable on photos, not obvious indoors or in low light. The uneven coloration adds to the authenticity of the rough, soup bone covers.

Howdy, Cap'n! Is that the maroon linen bullnose? How did you get all that detail in the grain of the Micarta? Did you polish it? Is it a photo/image effect? Or did it just come that way? Micarta is perhaps my all-time favorite cover material. That is a beautiful knife!

Yes it's maroon linen micarta. I haven't done a thing to them really just some use, and no camera filters matter of fact i just shoot with my phone. But I must admit if you catch the light just so they all show a more defined detail.

I would have stopped with one or two of those Bullnose F&F tools, but the Micarta has bewitched me, so now I have a half-dozen lying around! Thanks for the photo and info... Beautiful RED Bullnose!

This is my kind of bloodlust. I used to have a focused collection of GEC reds before I decided to break it up and focus on the CC collections. I couldn't let go of a few favorites.

Here are my non-Charlow reds:

I sniff 'em out like a blood hound!

I just had to re-post this photo. Red is probably my favorite color for bone handled knives, but I'm not obsessed with it... I don't actually go out of my way to get a red knife. I've only got a couple myself. (I don't count the raspberry pink and overly purple knives.) Nice collection, Evan.

Thanks, Scott!

Those don't even include my red Charlows!! Deep red handles are definitely my favorite when it comes to bone scales! (if you couldn't already tell...)

Man, those just do it for me. Takes me back to childhood watching my grandpa, sitting in the shade after a hard days work, having a glass of iced tea, pulling out his Case and wiping it across a stone a few times to keep the edge on it. He might even let me handle it, if I was careful.
It just doesn't get any better than that.
