Red Scorpion Six blade failure.

Greens has a good question why hasn't this maker stepped in to address this Maybe they don't know about it. Maybe they do ?

I have been following this thread from the beginning. To have this type of failure on a survival knife. Chopping 4" hard wood is simply unacceptable. I chopped concrete with my test knives and most never chipped out just dented.

Don't worry about starting this thread. If their mad so what. Your the customer and you bought this knife and it failed on you in the worst way.

Good thing you were just out for a hike and not actually needing the knife to survive.

Also if you haven't heard from them by now this is a bad sign.

If they do give you a new one ? Take it outside and chop hard with it. If this happens again. Then if this was me and I know it's not. I would demand a refund and I wouldn't take No for an answer.

Good luck man.

I once saw a movie called Red Scorpion with Dolph Lundgrun
I hope the knife is better than the movie mate

Hey Noss, when are you doing the Glock 78 test?
I just ordered one and would like to see how it stacks up?

I'm getting ready to do it. I got delayed because I'm working on the Seal 2000 test. I have something special for it.

I will have the Glock done very soon. Sorry for the delay.

No need to apoligise Noss, at your leisure mate.
If you are on my payroll I will start kicking your arse.
While you are doing tests under your own steam, when you can is good enough for me.
I look forward to what you have......

I didn't buy the knife directly from them I bought it from a member of Bladeforums.I told them this right off the bat just so there was no confusion. They said it was no problem.
I was going to cary this knife on my yearly 4 day hike with my buddies that my TOPS Tracker has already done twice and came out smiling.I'll keep up the tradition this year.
P.S.I took another knife down and finished the job.

Leave no tree half cut.......or in this case 3/4 cut.
Thanks for the support guys it's really great.Life is too short to use shoddy knives.

If you had A Tracker which as far as can tell is a damn good knife, why would you buy this which seems like a shoddy made copy.

Nevermind I can't talk When i like a pattern I usually buy Multiple.

Anyway sorry for the trouble, I hope it gets cleared up for you.

Tell them you want a date with the girl from their poster and everything is square :D

Hey guys, we had a failure. It was a too deep of a grind and it got through our QC. The Heat Treat may have been partly to blame. This is the only one that has come back like this. We produced in 440C due to the rust resistance and it can take the beating for chopping. We decided on 440 polished stainless steel. because it is a survival knife and the blade surface if needed can be used to reflect light as signalling device or simply to refract it into a dark area.
We have looked at the blade and it just slipped thru. We are sending Matt a new blade. We have tossed around the idea of producing in another type of steel but some it is just cost prohibitive in the niche market for these knives so I am looking at the business decision. The dilema is Selling Price not to mention the lawsuit threats from Tracker Inc.
Some like our design and version of the ORIGINAL - DAVE BECK TRACKER/WSK. Some don't. But some women love me and others hate me too. Oh well guess I can't make them all happy. But I will give an honest effort and do the very best we can. I can assure you that we at RED SCORPION SIX BLADES,LLC strive for excellence. Sometimes we have hiccups but we will make them right.
We will always stand by our Predator WSK and our Customers.

Is that a high priority?

Wouldn't 1095 be cheap AND hold up well?

You need more pics of this model !!!

Um, I mean HER, not the knife!!

:D

It could be a high priority depending on where you find yourself. 1095 may be cheaper but we wanted to do something that if you put this knife into your gear bag and left it for a year or even a few months in a wet condition there would not be any worries of damage. It is highly corrosion resistant and that is a high priority to us.
Her is another pic just for you.
