Please tell me about that lanyard.

I have a few kicking about the place, drop me a line with your words and numbers and I'll just send you one if you want. :)

Any chance you have one more to spare? Or instructions on how to make one myself?

It has been said many times "timing in life is everything". Just keep looking and you never know what will pop up. I got on ebay about a month ago early in the morning and there it was. A lg. Regular BG 42 NIB. It was a buy now. It was serrated (which I like, I know many do not) and the price was south of $300.00. It was a perfect match for my small reg. BG 42 serrated (I know I need a filler tab for the small) :-). So they are out there but it may take some time. And sometime the hunt is the most fun. As an example I am a bird hunter and most of the time it is not getting the bird that is the most fun it is the hunt. I will put full size dolphins on the large soon. Keep looking!

You are right!!! Here are all of my regular Sebenzas. My large is very lonely, I am looking for an Annual to join it:)

How did i miss this, very nice!
Also as you have noticed there will be a variety of 10 annuals that you can choose from that would feel right at home to this collection

Pm sent and THANK YOU!

Got your message, I'll send that out to you early next week.

....let me see what I have. I'll be making more in the near future anyway so either way I'll sort you out. :)

(I have a few short ones but the other longer ones seem to be hiding just now)......

Birdhunter, How are you sure that its the real deal when purchasing on ebay? I have thought about getting some blades on ebay but have been scared of fakes

Thank you Haze!
What you showed in the picture, would be perfect.
Question--The mini-snap clip you use. Will it hook through the hole on just one side of the knife?
My 'Regular', never came with the cross pin.
NO RUSH on shipping-PLEASE allow me to cover your S&H.
LG

The clips are the McGizmo clips and it will fit through the frame of the knife, no need for a lanyard pin. I don't have any of the larger clips just now but I'll send you one of the small ones for the "knife end".

No need for any sort of payment here, it's a gift. :)

Thank you Haze!

There are things to look for. One is the logo. Most fakes the leg on the "R" is straight. This on with the box and close inspection looked good to me. If you are not sure as on the forum. The nice members on here are always ready to help. I am not sure if I have seen a fake 'Regular on ebay but nothing would surprise me. Again members on here are always ready to hlep. It is a great place to learn. Best of luck in your search.

Those small clips on each end like in the picture is perfect.
One on the knife and the other on a belt-loop, or rescue vest when I'm on the boat.

I have always considered the Large Regular the best edc to ever exist, closely followed by the very scarce Large Original with a pocket clip. So one day I started to think what would I do if I could no longer locate them. I already lost that one large Regular I had with the swedge helping that lady change her flat tire on the side of the road and that really got me thinking. So I am happy to say that after about 3 years and a ton of upgrading and buying/selling I now feel comfortable saying that I have enough Large Regulars/Originals with Clips to last the rest of my lifetime. I am now almost 36 years old and am quite confident that I have enough to get me well into my late 80's. Gauging one at an every 3.5 year average.
Barring no one breaks down two walls in my home to get to my gun safe and then has a forklift to get it out of there :) but I am very pleased. And its funny as all of my Large Originals with clips turned out to be P's as well. Then my Large regulars consists of exactly half BG-42 and half S30V. Only with 2 U.Gs just to mix things up a bit.
It took me a very long time and an exceedingly large amount of money but it is possible. I got very lucky at times as well which always helps but the point of all of this is it is possible my friend. Just be diligent, have the funds available and DO NOT HESITATE! There is no question in my mind that you will be able to find a large Regular but you have to meet and trust the good people here on B.F and when a Large Regular comes up you can jump on it. I would recommend sooner than later as I do not know if you are looking for a BG-42 or a S30V but the prices of BG-42 are rising very quickly and it will only be a mater of time until a mint or BNIB version tops $1K.
So keep your head up and you will find one. We are a small community of collectors here. For example, that BG-42 that sold last week that was spoken of earlier in this post was originally sold to the seller by myself. So we are all connected in sorts and could not get anywhere without some good old fashioned help from a friend. Now the large Originals with pocket clips and just happen to be P's is a different story but as for large Regulars, you will be ok my friend. Take care and I cannot stress how important it is to have the funds available at all times and learn to trust people as the majority of people on B.F. are just knife nuts like yourself. Best of luck and take care my friend.
Sincerely, Ryan

Thanks for the encouraging words Ryan. I've already found a potential offer. Hope it works out, if not i will continue the search. Thanks again.

If you are worried about losing a Sebenza, try the push pin release lanyard. You can unhook the lanyard with one hand if it is in your way. It goes in the hole from either direction. It hangs on your belt while you are using the knife.View attachment 501737
