REI G10 Grip on Sale

Ordered mine from the info of this thread. Came in two days. Glad I ordered it. Feels and looks better in hand than a standard griptilian.
 
Just curious, what other knives does BM currently produce in the 3.5" blade range using S30V and G10?

The Volli uses these materials but only has a 3.25" blade.
 
Hmmm the question is do I use this to get the Grip or the 470.... this is now the cheapest place to get one... or both? Can you just do 2 different orders and use the coupon 2 times?

That REI knife had been listed at $190 when I first saw it a couple of months ago. Glad to have just ordered one. Thanks for the tip!
 
I want a knife with 1 serration so I can use it for cutting fingernails. But I can't bring myself to alter my knife and I never buy combo edges
 
I went to the store to check one out and they are really nice. Compared to my standard mini-grip, the G10 makes this a completely different knife, in a positive way. I do not think it is a $175 knife, but definitely worth $130 to $140. If they are still in stock in a week or two, I am getting one. That is when the annual dividends get issued. With my dividend plus 20% discount and my $50 gift card I still have from X-mas, I should be able to get it for under $50.
 
Not sure if the discount is still in effect... I think it was a limited time only.

Got the REI Grip in earlier this week. I was delighted to see that the green G10 is very well designed and it feels like a 100% improvement over the plastic. Good addition to my collection. Since I use most of my knives, this one will be with me often. I want to get into bushcrafting, and this is a nice "starter" folder maybe.
 
Does anyone know if the REI Griptilians are limited-run versions? It seems like most of the G10 handled versions are, but the Cabelas D2 bladed grips seem to have been around for a while.
 
I don't know how long REI will carry these. They are really an "exclusive" rather than a limited edition but I'm sure they won't be making them for too long. When I asked the guy at REI about this when buying my knife he said previous REI exclusive knives had been sold for about 6 months.
 
I was wondering this too so I figured out that the website allowed me to put 20 in my cart before it said they were backordered. Not sure if REI gets these on a rolling basis or if it was a one or done deal but for now, it seems they have 20 in stock.

I am holding and opening my REI GRIP right now, I used the 20% off code weeks ago and bought mine thanks to fellow Blade Forum members for the code. This knife is just like the shot show grip and camp perry grip just different steels and colors, and I think this one is a little less known about. Also not trying to beat a dead horse but these are exactly the steels,colors, options I would like to have on Benchmades build a grip site. Buy them while you can!
