REI G10 Grip on Sale

I just tried the 126TAKE20 coupon and it says that coupon code has expired. They are 175.00 without any coupons or memberships.

I am not a REI member. So according to that members post, I would not receive 20% off.
Perhaps JNewell should read a post correctly before posting a roll eyes emoticon.

REI membership is not free - there is a single lifetime charge ($20 or something). From that point on, you get 10% back on non-sale purchases every year. We got ours back in the 70s, never regretted it. But I don't know if I'd get it just to save money on this knife!
 
The wife and I love REI, they sell the best in sporting and outdoor gear, shipping is fast and their exchange policy is top notch, (the wife really loves that part) the membership easily pays for itself.

Im not sure you get a 20% off coupon when you join but with 10% back on the dividend and 20% off, this knife comes ends up being a pretty good deal in my book.
 
Damn! I paid full price but the knife is so damn good I just feel it was worth even that. Not having to hear that super annoying plastic click clack when opening and closing it has made it my favorite Benchmade out of 8 that I own! ....and DAMN! BM's S30V is NO joke!
 
Another option for a G10 Griptilian is the 551BK-LE which can be had for $142. The steels are different on these 2 knives, however. I have both the REI and the LE.

Just got my REI grip in, was kind of an impulse buy using SAVE20 and my dividend. Thought I might return it or trade it.

Once held my opinion was solidified that I will keep it. Changed my views on what the griptilian was and could be. Heavy knife with secure purchase and striking to boot.

Really an exceptional piece for the price.

where can I find one for $142? I have been trying to hunt one down for a while.
 
I am about to hunt down the blue one as well, as well as just forking over the cash for the green one too.
I have four Grips already, one is the 551BK-1301. (Red and black G-10) and I like it. I have a Busse ASHBM LE on its way along with a CG version I already received. I Also have a Microtech Combat Toodon on the way too. This is is the reason I am looking for the best possible deal. I buy more than I can use. Still have 30+ BNIB Benchmades so I really don't need another knife, but they are dirt cheap compared to my other vice, racing. And as far as Spyderco goes, lost count.

Thanks for the tip. Really impressed with the REI grip so more g10 grips are in my future.
 
Had $26 reward I just got so put it towards with the SAVE20 and got mine for $123 (to bad had to pay tax of $10 or would have been $113). Can't beat that deal. That's the cost of G10 scales alone.
