Reinhardt Teaser

Like the kabar kukri? That sheaths not bad as far as design goes. Seems pretty standard style for that shape. I really like the way the machaxe fits. I'm not real picky when it comes to sheaths tho. Just work is all I ask and don't fall apart.
But I know there's tons of folks who critique them to death and I don't really get it. I'm pretty easy to please on most fronts anyway. Food may be my worst though. Like anything, I like my food simple.

I'm 99% sure that it will be black leather, and I'm guessing open back. I don't believe they'll take the time for pocket style.

Yes, a simple black leather is fine for me. I don't need a whole survival kit setup pre installed. Maybe provisions for attaching such will be nice i.e. eyelets or slots or whatever but its by no means a deal breaker. I can figure it out if I really needed something like that. K.I.S.S.
I imagine the hold up may be the belt loop or dangler and maybe the handle strapping or something.

there have not been many novels designs in 40 years for a kukri.

looking foward to something :D

I think a projected date for release is overdue. We have been patient for the better part of a year. When can we expect release???????

Doc

no later than October, unless that changes :D

In Nepal khukuris are used ceremoniously to behead animals like sheep, and even buffalo!

I might need to head to Nepal and see if the same is possible with the Bk21... Sounds like a wild festival to me!

I believe that it is bad luck for your whole family if you need more that one swing...

And the guys who do it are "Executioners" trained to get it right. Its a high honor, and a bigger honor, the bigger the animal you are trusted to kill. My understanding is they strive for a single hit because it makes the kill basicly painless and instant, where as getting it wrong causes suffering, so the sacrifice turns sour, and bad luck.

Maybe they're busy making D2 or 3V versions for us 'Heads, and the difficulty machining them accounts for the delay.

Hope springs eternal...
