Reinhardt Teaser

Hey Guys.....

I am at Friend Charley's place near the headwaters of the Bitterroot in Montana....... Hope to get some pics later today on willow and pine...... Got lots of both and a freshly downed Ponderosa....... Walked right passed it yesterday and an hour later it fell right where we were walking...... And no Matilda, we heard it not when it fell in the forest..... LOL.....

The 3/16ths looks to be first up......Will have a chance to let both Psyops, Vik, the Trade's and the Colonel give them a shot next weekend on my way back to TN.........

Hope to get pics to someone who can post tomorrow.......

I've heard you speak of this good Mr. Charley's compound before. I'm anxious for these pictures. Keep the sharp parts away from your digits boss.

E, you are in my neighborhood!!! If you're at the headwaters of the Bitterroot, you better be spending some time flyfishing. Love it up there.

Have a great time up here, I can't wait to add a new Reinhardt to the Becker collection. Capital 'L' Love my classic.

Ethan - which day will you be hitting the neighborhood near Psyop & the Colonel?

Hey Vik.....

Hope it is the ninth or tenth...... Looking forward to seeing you again.....

looks like a nice Samsher there?

looks a lot like the Bushman GAK (Ghurka Army Khukri)

improved M43 really?
It's a 5160 partial tang copy of a victorian khuk I made as a tester-the original was too soft, and the hilt too brittle to use:image.jpg
The original was 1/4" distalled out to nothin', and was the first old khukuri I'd seen that light. They're both the 19th century stub tang, which definately has it's limitations.
Looking forward to the Reinhardt.

JW, That is some great work:thumbup:

Thanks, JDK.
The 3/16" sounds like the way to go production wise-3/16" 1095 is going to take a serious pounding. When are these rolling out again?

But, waayyy ahead of us:D

Yea, 3/16" is a great place to start. I can't wait for some reviews to pop up. Khukuri are just awesome and I think this model will bring more people into the fold.

believe it or not, the only way i see some knives is to wait for Blade show, or buy them. yup.

Ethan stopped by my place tonight and 1066Vik and I got to try out the RBK protos. We tested it on willow and some hard woods. The knife was very versatile for detail work as well as being a great chopper. So here are a few pictures.
