My heartfelt thanks...
A few weeks ago I happened to open a thread here on the REK sub-forum by Christian wherein he was selling a couple of items and giving away others. As I read his post, I got a strange feeling that he might have been referring to and intending on doing a major kindness and directing it my way.
I reached out to Christian and told him that I didn't want to be presumptuous, but I wanted to make sure that he was not referring to me...as there were many, many folks much more deserving and in need of such generosity and kindness.
I had mentioned to Josh prior to this that I regretfully wouldn't be picking up a Q at this time because of having to deal with a goodly amount of tree work and damage from Hurricane Helene, my wife's broken arm and wrist and a variety of other expenses that all arose contemporaneously.
Christian was adamant about what he wanted to do and what he intended, and after going back and forth a few times, I decided that the better part of valor was to swallow my pride and not insult a good man who only wanted to extend a kindness. He is as generous as he is obstinate.
So, to Christian, Josh and any all of you who may have participated in this endeavor, (and I don't know who you are), I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I'm not very good at accepting unexpected generosity...and am much more comfortable with being the giver than the givee.
So, thank you all. I hope these words will communicate just how much I appreciate the thought and the effort.
(And, I just got my shipping notice. Should be here on Monday. Wow.)
Brilliant!
My heartfelt thanks...

I just couldn't justify the outlay.

Thank you, Ryan, I appreciate the kind words. Means a lot.Well deserved generosity! I know I’ve said it before, but thanks for all you do here.
Much deserved for all the work you do on this forum and others. I know you have a lot to do with moving my posts around as I'm too lazy to read all the rules or sometimes just don't follow. I'm sure you get many complaints but with your prior career you are use to that. Enjoy. My heartfelt thanks...

Thanks, appreciate it. The complaints are overridden by the thanks of those who appreciate what we (try to) do on their behalf. It's a labor of love, and this community means a lot to me, having been here since before it morphed into the current incarnation.Much deserved for all the work you do on this forum and others.
