11 days and no update?
This thread is really bugging me (pun intended)

I really like the idea for this knife.
So far it is looking great. I can't wait to see the finished knife.

I'm changing this up a bit, the blade will be damascus.

And just how the hell are you going to do that?:eek:

Your imagination is boundless..... as is your talent. I love your style! I'm looking forward to seeing this continue to evolve. Thank you for the show.

Hey everyone, I apologize for the delay with this project, we're back on! :) The hold-up was that I messed up on grinding the bevels and instead of modifying the blade from what it would have looked like I decided to just make a whole new blade for it, so I ordered some damascus:) So here we go:

New blade profiled:

Blade cleaned up and the slot on the "handle" cut in with the band saw.

Thinning out the blade to fit into the slot using a flex shaft tool and a cut off wheel:

Starting to fit the blade into the slot:

Awesome work, Serge. If you could swing it somehow, i think you would really enjoy Patrick Hastings class on japanese metal working. I've been wishing I could go the last couple, but haven't been able to manage it.

Going up to Mike Q's this weekend to play with the TW-90 and power hammer, I'll wave as we go by Sac :-)
