Serge,
Looks great! That was an ambitious move to say the least. Well done.

I've been wondering what was up with this project....:)

Thanks guys!

Awesome work, Serge. If you could swing it somehow, i think you would really enjoy Patrick Hastings class on japanese metal working. I've been wishing I could go the last couple, but haven't been able to manage it.

Going up to Mike Q's this weekend to play with the TW-90 and power hammer, I'll wave as we go by Sac :-)

Dan

That class sounds interesting man, I'll be definitely looking into it. Sounds fun! I just visited Mike a month ago or so, learned some great things. Mike is an awesome guy to hang out with for sure.

Todays progress:

Blade ground, there is a wide swedge that is hard to see, which extends all the way to the top of the main bevel.

FINISHED! This is by far the most complicated project I have done to date, hope you guys enjoyed it. I still need to make a display stand for it, I'll post it here when it's done.

HA!!!!

I have looked at this thread several times, and only now, after seeing the finished knife, did I realize that the copper on the top was the wings!

Looks great!

Very cool knife.
I like how everything came together.
I think it is a great knife and a very unique piece of functional art.
