I've recently have gotten into collecting the Remington Bullet series reproductions. I really like these knives as they are very sturdily built and have many interesting patterns. Remington also had/has a pretty slick advertising series of posters which each knife with some really nice paintings on them showing each knife in an action shot.

I originally wanted this thread to be only about that specific reproduction series, but it would be quite nice to see some of the originals that they were based on. And there are many fine customs that I have seen on this forum with bullet shields on them. Please post any of these if you have them.

Here are mine. At 12 o'clock, the BIG 1994 "Camp" knife. At 3 o'clock, 1985's "The Woodsman". At 6 o'clock, a stockman, part of the "New Tang Stamp Series". And lastly, at 9 o'clock, 1996's "The Trailhand". Technically, yes, it does not have a bullet shield. Two versions were issued, one a round shield and one a bullet shield. But it is part of the Bullet repro series.

Corey, just as a point of info, there was never a "Bullet" stockman. They took liberties with that one. ;)

And this is what that very stockman looks like after Ken Erickson takes off the original scales and replaces 'em with jigged micarta.

(Ken only did this on the Remington because he was experimenting with jigging micarta at the time.)

That Chamblin is awesome!

Thanks, Rob. Sometimes you just get lucky. Joel did by picking through the stag at Culpepper's. I did by being the first one at Joel's table. ;)

(The rest of it wasn't luck. Joel's a consummate artist.:thumbup:)

Elliott, I remember that Chamblin when you first posted it, it's really gorgeous!! And Vince, the bone on those Bose's are killa! Thanks for posting those pics.

Here's one I haven't pulled out in a while. A "Baby Bullet" made by Camillus/Remington for the NKCA in 1997:

Here is another flea market find from long ago. The Stag Delrin is excellent but there is very light surface scratches on the blades. I guess these where know to have cracking around the lanyard hole but this one is perfect. Wish I had the display box for this one but unfortunately there was none. I'm usually more into tactical fixed and folder blades but I have a great appreciation for traditional folders because they have a character all their own. Thanks for looking!
