RENO Exposition ’08 – Show us what you got; Please!

Absolutely beautiful Ed.
Either you makers are holding your pieces close to your vest or you are going to have some busy days this week getting ready. Not seeing as many pieces as I had hoped. ;) :)

See you there Ed.

Here's a San Mai blade, Caffrey style with a 52100 core. About as cool as it gets. Ed, I'm still not sure if I can make the show. If I don't see you, have a great time in Reno.

That hunter really floats my boat Ed - just enough nice detail work (carved, stippled handle, nicely shaped guard) to make you feel like you're carrying something special - but not so embellished that you'd cringe at the idea of putting it to work.

Hey Pete! Thanks for posting that pic!

Roger, Thanks for the kinds words! I feel like I always have to take something with me that isn't "maxed out", no matter what level the show is on. I try to always remember what got me were I am....it wasn't selling high end bowies and folders... but all those years I spent producing and selling simple/clean, hardcore using knives.

I also want to tell Burt that those laminated blades he's producing are just plain cool!

Look forward to seeing everyone in Reno!

Here are 4 that I will have in Reno. I am still working on a few more and hope to get them done. Maybe 8 total including something I have not done in a while, a lock back folder.

Beautiful, Tommy. Been sitting here just absorbing that dogbone, crisp, clean, elegant.
Also, that's a lovely reproduction of my favorite M. Price.
Have a great show.

Nice. REALLLLL nice!

Everyone is bringing their 'A' game. They'd better. Look at the competition. ;)

I love that push dagger. I can see it laying at a card table in Nevada City in winter of 1870...
Flair and style :-)

Jim Rodebaugh tells me he is bringing his A game, too. He is finishing some last minute details and I hope to see them on Weds. From what I understand:
A bowie
a Brothel dagger, named "the Fallen Dove, short double edged, ivory handled, and designed to fit on a leg garter.
A hunter
and something else that I forget.

I'll try to get pics.

I, too, love the push dagger above and marvel at how well he kept the curves mirrored on his blade with the leaf above it. Not to mention the scrimshaw on the handle. This is definitely A game material.

Does anyone know what Tim Hancock is bringing? I heard him say that he would be doing something extra special...from him, that would seem to be something extraordinary.

Scrimshaw???

Sounds intriguing to say the least.

Ok, I mispoke...mis-typed, whatever. The carving on the handle of the push dagger.

On hancock: Yes, it does.
