I have done alot things with various sluts but I have yet to cut open a salami with one.

Dear Jerry, please send me a slut for testing, I will need one soon because sluts move fast, so Jerry make it fat, put her in satin and make me a happy man.

In the words of Bravado....................Huh ?

Political correctness is killing America! Where is it in the Constitution that we have the right to not be offended. Like Amy say's if you don't like it turn off the computer

I, for my part, have always had a special place in my heart for sluts and Jerry's are no exception. I am ready to pre-order.
I would also like to pre-order a FOLDER for that matter

I'm almost afraid to remind folks that we have had some other names in the past that might be suspect as well, including the Camp Tramp and the Tali-Whacker ( Short for Taliban- Whacker)

The SLUT series is just part of an old Busse Kin tradition!

Come to think about it, you did resemble a much larger version of Duece . . .

:D:D:p;)

That is why I can also make FAT jokes!!!!!!!

That is my point entirely! Thank you! :D :D :D The inside jokes and innuendo were funny. But the whole Zardoz thing and some others, caused a back pedal to a G rated rule, it does all direct back to that time. The new customer base has caused things to change, good or bad, its change.

I wish it could be like it was back in the day, 2001 or so, it was light hearted and down to earth. Talk of mac and cheese, ramen noodles and CBL to save enough to get your Busse knife have turned into JBL and fine cigars and not having enough to get the whole line at a time. Its a totally different customer base, thus a whole different way of doing business.

Oh but it was a good time. A scary time as well. (google Zardoz pics and you'll see why).

I never knew men could be so sensitive, must be part of the newer and kinder generation of coddled boys that grew a vagina at some point in adulthood.

I damn near fell out my chair reading this one

Hey Jerry, when will Busse be coming out with the Wauseon Heavy Ordnance Recon Engager? :p

Not so sure a W.H.O.R.E. series would go over to good. If you have to pay every time you pound it you may go broke:p

I wonder if Bravado would get one of those free:confused:

I have never posted in the Busse Forums, I lurk, mainly because I don't own one yet. So, I hope it is okay to give my 2cents.

I really don't see the issue with the name slut. I thought it was clever how the the show in Tulsa spawned the name A slut.

I discussed this with my wife just now and she thought it was a cool name. She actually said "if I ever get attacked I would introduce them to my slut." lol.

I mean in this day in age with the internet and the language on TV after 9pm it seems really silly that this offended grown men.

sigh... perhaps I should not have posted in the first place, but I stand by what I've said. It isn't my place to determine what is or is not said on this forum, but I felt it worth while to voice dissent over the naming scheme. I'm wouldn't be particularly pleased with telling someone who asked me "what model knife is that?" "it's part of the slut series".

I do not agree with the sentiment that others reactions to words should be disregarded in the face of the concept of free speech, that ones words are sacrosanct and should be without consequence or ramifications from those who hear it. To assume that everyone around you should be okay with what you say regardless of what it is is unrealistic and often irresponsible.

There is also a sentiment present that if you are offended for others, if you are offended at all then you are not 'a man'. My concept of being a man is holding yourself responsible for the reaction, consequences and reality of your own actions. If you are okay with others being offended by your words and say them knowing that they will be offended, I don't agree with it but I respect it. I don't respect the idea that 'no one should ever be offended by my words' for the reason mentioned above.

Certain animals in the animal kingdom can grow very thick skin and sometimes it gets really thick. Examples would be wild boar, a bull, or a rhinoceros. These thick skin types tend to be good leaders and listeners and overall usually possess excellent people skills. Due to their thick skin, they sometimes have a tendency to not care what other's think, not because they don't care about other animals, they are just used to going where they want to go which usually is in the face of resistance. These specimens are just used to swimming upstream while most everyone else swims downstream.

Then there is the majority of animals out there that have skin that varies in thickness and this variation is usually due to the different challenges that these animals face on a day to day basis. An example would be a wolf, which is not born with very thick skin, but after fighting many fights it's skin can grow very thick due to scars.

There are a few animals that exist along with all others that can be very sensitive to their environments. These specimens tend to care alot about what others think and they usually go where everyone else goes. They make good followers. Sheep are a good example of this type of animal. If you poke at them a little too hard they make this sound--baahaahhahhahahha. It's almost like a little baby crying for it's mother--bahahahhahhahaha.

You will all have to excuse me for changing the subject from Tulsa to some insight into the animal kingdom..... or wait, did I change the subject?

I had a chemistry teacher who, after giving an answer to a students question would finish with "I've answered a question, but I'm not sure that I've answered your question." and would then verify that the students question had been satisfied. I always thought that was awesome. It showed an attentiveness to response that helped everyone involved.

http://www.predatorconservation.com/honeybadger.htm

"The Honey Badger is a short stocky animal with short legs and a short bushy tail. It is around 30cm high, and 90-100cm in length, weighing around 10-14Kg. The upper-parts are silver-grey, with the legs and under-parts being black. It has a large head and powerful jaws. The Honey badger has a very thick loose-fitting skin, which serves as protection from predators. Any predator biting the honey badger is likely to get a grip on the skin, but its loose fit means the honey badger can turn round inside the skin and fight back against the predator."

I always thought it an amazing idea for a predator to grab the back of it's neck, only to have the badger turn around 180 degree's and start attacking it's face. One of several randomly effective fighters in the animal world (along with the moose).

Finally! Someone who gets me!!!! . . . SLUT = "Super Light Ultra Thick" . . . All descriptive. . . nothing derogatory!. . . It certainly wouldn't make sense to use derogatory terms when describing our killer cool new series. . . would it?

Oh, I see the problem. . . You don't seem to understand that SLUT, as we are using it, is an acronym. Putting a word in all upper case is commonly accepted as a substitution for the periods after each letter ie, FBI, CIA, UPS etc. . . . Here, I will fix it for you. . . S.L.U.T.

Is it a great acronym? Perhaps. . . perhaps not. Is it a great knife series? You betcha!!!. . . . . Will we earn a spot on the website: www.unfortunateacronyms.com along with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF)!!!!  . . . Who knows? . . . Maybe? . . . (We can dream right?) :D

LVC, I have always enjoyed your participation on our forums and I hope that you continue to add your insights and feedback.

I hope that we can have intelligent discussions and disagreements here without losing our friends.

I now drink to you and again, wish you a Happy Birthday!!!

Jerry :D
.

the sad part is, if it was stated as s.l.u.t. it actually wouldn't phase me as much because my first thought would be "why is that an acronym?", which leads into the qualifiers that direct the words meaning.
