The following is my communication history with retired01. He PM'd me regarding a Sprint Stretch I was selling and after some initial confusion on my part about who had contacted me first with an "I'll Take It" I arranged to sell it to him. He mentioned a US shipping address (ConUS shipping was included in the price) but did not provide this information until I had requested it multiple times. He then proceeded to cancel the transaction after sending payment and despite his wasting my time I provided a full refund. See for yourself in the images below. Don't let him waste your time like he did mine.

Here is the new link with US shippers info removed as per request: Communication History

Update: My final message from retired01:

Strange why he backed out like that?
Seems like there was some issue in getting you an address, he thought he did, but It seems like you didn't get one for a day? Anyway, not sure why that would lead to turning into my 3 year old when she isn't happy about something.

I am sure he will present his side of the story shortly.....

No transaction, no feedback. That will be removed, and he should know better.

Thanks for the heads up, and that was very well presented.

Do not reciprocate the negative feedback. It will make it easier to get yours removed...

Search his threads started, especially the ones in the Feedback forum. Poor communication and impulse actions seem to be a common theme.

As JR88FAN said, no transaction then no iTrader. Go to it and report it and I'm sure it will be taken care of.

In your screenshots, PayPal showed nothing and the PM with the US address looks to be after the 2 supposed emails went awol. Doesn't make much sense after everything was handled through PMs to switch up and send pertinent info through another medium. Emails can be wonky by sending real stuff to spam. Also, someone's PayPal email might not be the one they use for correspondence and check infrequently.

One line of contact through PM or email works best for me.

....

I knew his name sounded familiar - now I am remembering some of his drama from the other threads. Thanks!

^ A very common theme! There is also a post in the link below (by Craytab), with a couple of other pertinent links, which clearly demonstrates, Retired01's M.O.

I can vouch for Retired01, Rob is good people. I have had great dealings with him, and in fact I received a knife today that he sent me just last week. There may be a slight language barrier, but take the time to read and comprehend. Rob is a straight up gentleman, and man of his word, and I trust him 100%.

^ This, speaks volumes! :D

This guy again! How many more times do we need to see the same name. Folks, before you do anything with any one, look around a bit. How many times have I said to add this guy to your ignore list. SMH. We don't need members like this here.

Had retired on my ignore list long ago, due to his past craziness. One person you do not want to deal with. This place doesn't need drama cases like him. I am sure mods will do the right thing and remove his neg FB. Sorry you had to deal with this guys drama. Personally, I think it is time for him to go; but that ain't my call.

He made it to my ignore list a couple months back, too. Nothing worthy of it's own GBU thread, but I though it seemed off. I posted a Sebenza for sale at a drastically reduced price, but with a couple conditions on the sale. Those conditions required posting in the thread that you didn't already have a CRK. AFTER it was properly claimed by someone and marked SPF, Retired01 sent me emails and PM's trying to get the knife, never once posting in the thread as required, or even acknowledging the person in line before him.

Maybe just a reading comprehension issue on his part, but not worth it to me.

This retired guy seems like a screwball. He's also too demanding, trying to do business from Europe, and not realizing that emails don't always get effectively sent nor received.

Yup. It looks like this guy is back yet again.

I just completed a second transaction with Retired01. He has been nothing but polite to me, timely in his payment, and has never bothered me with anything. No complaints on my end.

I also just completed a transaction with him.
Went smooth with good communication and fast payment.

Seriously, look at his started threads. If you deal with this guy you are taking a huge risk to your reputation IMO. When things don't go perfectly, he handles the situation very poorly.

I can only speak of MY personal experiences with retired01. We completed two transactions within the last year. Both went smoothly without a hitch. Communications were clear, cordial & friendly. There was a mutual understanding of time differences. I am sorry to hear about any & all of the experiences that were different than mine.

Reports of good transaction with this guy should be no surprise. That is how transactions should go. When things go wrong is what tells you the kind of person you are dealing with.

Not sure what you are saying here. How transactions usually go for me: buyer pays and provides correct shipping address. I ship knife with tracking and knife arrives at destination. Buyer messages me that knife was received and we go our separate ways. I have made several sales and purchases through BF with out a hitch. It seems like there are some mixed feelings about this buyer. I don't doubt that some folks have had positive transactions with him but that was not my experience and it seems I am not alone in this. This is simply to inform others that it is a possibility and they can choose for themselves with full knowledge of his previous behavior.

What I am saying is that one should not get credit for doing things correctly. Should that not be how things normally go? It is when the chips are down we can see who you are. This situation is a good example of who this member is. Also, the other negative situations this member has been in shows how he handles things. Not good. Further, he left you negative feedback without a transaction which is against the rules. He has a history of problems that a history of good transactions should not erase.
