If you paid paypal via a credit card you might still try to dispute it through the credit card company.

SERIOUSLY?!?

The seller should either keep the money and return the "altered" knife to the buyer (not altered by buyer though), which is basically refusing the return; or the seller needs to return the money and keep the knife, since I believe he's fixed it already.

If tries to keep both he should be banned permanently from the forum!

I wonder if he is allowed to see what’s being said but not allowed to post. I’ve never been banned so who knows. Maybe a mod?

Try the appeal process. I had a decision reversed in my favor for some anti-virus software that didn’t work. I just had to give them a better explanation that fell within the guidelines, and also explained how I rely on them to protect my transactions. It may be best to keep it uncomplicated.
 
Why. Its ammusing I'm not gonna lie but why. Watch out for them if you're buying or selling but why get in their business? You two need to figure this out. Getting every Tom dick n harry's opinion doesn't appear to be helping...
 
I dont see a section to appeal the case it doesnt show where i can go about this; drop down bars dont show any kind of appeal or choice to continue a dispute; i think ebay mastercard is the next step.
Case status:Closed
The case was closed in the seller’s favor as the item was altered or repaired while in your possesion; If it was altered or repaired by me it wouldve been a massive improvement.

Sorry to see it pan out this way mate. Is there anyway to get the POS to at least send the knife back. If he's as honest as he claims then he should do that at minimum.
 
A dispute has been opened with Ebay Mastercard I think i have a better shot with them than paypal,especially since i have proof it was returned.I doubt numnuts would send me the knife, and im not paying shipping again which he would probably want, would be funny to get it to see if it flips open by loosening the pivot after he battened it down.

You might keep your side short and sweet, eg. Paid for the knife, got the knife it was not what was represented, contacted seller and agreed to send it back, he received the knife and claimed it made a noise when opening and refused to refund my money, so now I have no knife and no money.

Hope they see through this smokescreen of nonsense Brother Bing Bong has thrown up.
