Rick Hinderer Knives Picture Thread

Thanks n2k. I just disassembled the knife completely, and cleaning/lubing it up once again. I think one of my problems is the female pivot end is spinning with the blade when it moves. But if I tighten it too tight the blade is...well unflippable. Lol

I'll try to help you thru e-mail/PM if you like.

Magnificent! Maybe it just needed a better thorough cleaning. The day after I got it, I took it apart at work real fast and threw some oil on it. Now I just cleaned everything more thorough, and it flips as good as my 3.5". I'm dumbfounded right now, as I racked my brain trying to figure this out. It's all good now! Thanks N2K for the suggestions and offering to help. Such a great community we have here!

Cool. As soon as you mentioned spinning I was going to suggest it could be a bit too much lubricant.

Finally got my Hinderer tool in the mail, so I did some fruit basket turnover with the XM's. I polished ti screws and ti standoffs back on the bronze ano beadblast with the textured carbon, and moved the blue ano hardware to the wharnie and added a new grey frag scale. The TAD stayed the same. Now all I need are those darn ano pivot screws!!!

Watch, is that a white frag scale or is it just really light grey?

In either case, it looks great! Think how cool it would look on a black DLC xm?!?
