I received my First Hinderer Knife this week via trade, its a XM-18 3 1/2" Non-Flipper. I had some handle scale choices and went with the Yellow. It fits this knife so perfectly. The entire knife is Stonewashed as well. This knife has already become one of my all time favorite folders. I think it will be hard to top this one. With the XM-18, you get CRK fit and finnish and tight tolerances with robust Strider SMF Toughness. Put them together and you get an XM-18. Awsome Awsome Knife !!! I am putting it here so it can be immortalized forever !!!

strangely enough, the 3.5" in the pic is the exact size of a 3" when I hold it up to the screen.

How can one tell what steel is on the knives? Are the newest ones made with the CTS-XHP steel?

Thanks. I look at my XM18 and started to wonder, it is the newest generation. It came with the newer/larger screws. :thumbup:

He is. I received my 18 from Rick last week. The blade was not stamped so I contacted him to inquire. It is indeed 20CV.

I rather like the yellow scales!
