Rick Menefee Knives...

Wow ! Nice one ! I particularly like the blade choices: Powerful looking Spearpoint with that bold swage, and Great curving Wharncliffe.
A variant could be same knife with thinner stock for the Wharncliffe, which for the length should still give plenty of strength.
Lots of my vintage 2 blade Jacks have a thinner secondary. I like the slightly more slender knife that results, but I'm not knocking this beauty at all. Just sayin' in case Rick wants to make me one !

Roland, the little warny blade is slightly thinner on this knife.

Sorry, wasn't sure from the pic as it's on an angle.
Guess that means i could take this one !

Ha Haaa...:) That one is residing in someone's pocket, out there somewhere :)

Few are as deserving of praise as you are Rick! :)

I've talked with Rick on the phone a couple of times and i feel exactly the same way. This is not suck-holing, it's simply the truth. Special 'privilege' when your favorite knifemaker is also a really nice person who is anything but self centered. Makes owning a Menefee special times two. (doubly special ?)

I agree Roland.

I've only got one of Rick's knives (I'm getting ready to get on the list for a couple more), but he went out of his way to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and even sent me progress photos every step of the way.

Rick is a class act all the way.

My trip today from my home in B.C. to the P.O. in Northport, WA. was well worthwhile. Because ------ I picked up a knife Rick has made for me.
Very sweet 3 3/8" Zulu with dark jigged bone. Just what the doctor ordered !
Man is this nice, fondling as i type with the other hand. Rattail, pinched bolsters, perfectly inlaid Federal shield, scales gently radiused. And the blade ! this is what a Perfect primary grind is. and beyond scary sharp for the edge.
I'll try to take pics tomorrow but until then i'll say these 2 things: Design-wise and technical workmanship = Perfect. And the whole far exceeds the sum of it's parts for there is perfect balance and flow and it seems to emanate a warm, calm, confident personality.
I could not be more pleased by any knife.
Rick has definitely 'arrived' in the top league. Watch out guys, the new Captain is coming through.

Well, the pictures don't capture the feeling of "soul" that this 3 3/8" Zulu from Rick gives me, likely because this is only a visual medium.

And with Big Daddy 4 1/8" Case/Bose:

Thank you Rick. I hope some time in the future i will be lucky enough to get another knife from you.
