"That's one heck of a man cave right there". Well, Maybe. I don't see any elk antlers among all those little racks hanging on the wall !
'Round here ya gotta de-bone a 6 point or better bull elk after a 2 day sidehill walk and stumble, with grizzlies circling and get out alive with the meat and rack before you have a Real Man cave. Sharp knives are very important because once the animal is down you have to work fast.
Maybe Ricky will have to pay me a visit here to complete his man cave.

Hey Roland, I don't think those Menefee boys are afraid of anything.

It's not fear, it's fitness. Walking steep sidehill all day with brush up to your waist or chest so you can't see the rocks and deadfall logs on the ground is the frustrating part, esp. on the way out with 100 pounds of meat plus hunting gear on your back. You fall a lot.
I'm too old now to go that far back country. But in general, it's where the bigger bulls are during hunting season.

I am a whitetail guy all those racks are deer from 3 to 9 years old. I watched most everyone his whole life.I have killed 4 elk no big bulls. Some of the hardest work i ever done packing meat out on foot. I have hunted a lot of critters and nothing gets me going like mature whitetail. Coyotes use to trip my trigger but that phase has passed!

Here's a small one Rick built for a gentleman .It is 2-3/4" closed & hafted in a very hard to obtain micarta, that's not Westinghouse Ivory.

Here it is against my 3-5/8" mini fiddleback
