Rick Menefee Knives...

:) Well, the pair of parers arrived,so I did a little photo shoot. The cleaver, fork & meat flattener were tools I owned when I used to cook in the restaraunt. They are rehandled by Rick, all in the same butterscotch paper micarta. The cleaver handle is a different material, but close. The Five Points Coffin bowie handle is slowly aging in,and you can see by the parers, where the color starts & by the chef & butcher, fillet too, where it goes to.
Thank You Rick, very much. This is a real once in a lifetime set for me & you made it possible.
I am thinking I need a larger fillet & a shorter thicker stock butcher ;) Where does the madness end ?

Those are great looking knives. Those paring knives look like they will do a great job. One of the parers I would call a wharncliffe type blade, what would you/do you call the type of blade on the other knife(other than a paring knife)?

Rod,
Both those parers, the blade profiles were inspired by a Tony Bose whittler. The warncliffe (teardrop handle),has an ever so slight recurve. The swayback handled knife,I do not know what to call it. I think someone named it a name here. But I want to use that as a deer gutting blade, too. It is wicked sharp.I guess its a cross between a drop point,a modified warncliffe & then add recurve. SwayHawk,I think Campbell here named it.

My goodness Vince, that is one heck of a set right there!!!

Very Impressive to say the least!

I may as well make that picture my backdrop for a while, or I'll be coming back to look at it a few times a day.
Thanks for posting those Vince:thumbup:

What a wonderful set of knives Vince! You have to be one happy chef! Congratulations on pulling all those together.

New Menefee for me!
I picked this one up from the PO today. I'm really pleased with this little knife. 3.5" closed, nice and slim, 154CM sharp as heck and a real looker.

I've been looking for a Half Congress and our own Vince came through with this one. Thanks Vince! You're one of the good guys!

Rick based this on a Camillus 4 line pattern. I really like his interpretation. Just awesome!

This little show stopper is going right in my pocket!
I'll try and take some better pictures when I calm down.
