Rick Menefee Knives...

I love that top ivory hunter, the red liners just look great! I'd take one with walrus ivory (no elephant for me).

Quote: "Rick makes beautiful fixed blade knives".
Absolutely true. Nobody makes a better Parer, Hunter or Butcher knife for using. A few other makers turn out Fixed Blades just as slick, but none are actually better for cutting.
If you have yet to try a Menefee FB, make it your goal to get one. Price is very reasonable and the joy of using it lasts forever.
I know, i'm preaching to the converted here, but i post this just in case there is someone new reading this thread.

I certainly agree Roland. It is obvious when using a Menefee blade that Rick has put a lot of thought into the actual mechanics of cutting, and not just entirely focused on making a knife look good.

Well said Corey! I couldn't agree more!

I have just finished all the thread. Rick makes very nice knives, both slipjoints and fixed. I hope I could own one of each category. There will be a big problem: which ones to choose as they all are beautiful. :)

PS: Need we have got another knives? Surely not. But we live only once. :D

Almost a month since this thread has been bumped seems like too long. Great fixed blades Rick! I'd be proud to use one of those in the kitchen. Might have to send you an email about that......

Here's a fixed Blade Rick made for himself, Check out that micarta! It's called "Old Rag micarta" It's
pretty old stuff from what I understand. He's finally up and moving after 2 weeks
of being down with his back! The sheath is Horse Hide... It looks pretty dam nice...imho

Sorry to hear of your back problems Rick. I have those myself and they can lay you out good.

You know, that is one of the reasons why I want to start trying to make my own knives. I imagine there's nothing quite like designing, building, and using something made by your own hands.

Good to hear your back on your feet Rick. Back problems certainly aren't much fun, that's for sure.
