Wo0T!!!! Let's have a Black & Tan!!! Wait, I don't have any Black & Tan!!!!
Got these in today. Totally make the BK16 100% better IMO. Well worth the wait. I'll post up some better pictures in the daylight tomorrow. With the micarta and mrn8's liners my handles are nice and fat now---just the way I like 'em

Kinds of irks me when people hotlink to my images = bandwidth spikes. What irks me more are people who pilfer graphics and/or page formats from my site for theirs that I had to pay for. Freeloaders suck. Maybe I will pilfer their stuffs and sell their work cheeeeeap just for fun and giggles.![]()

grrr...
cross forum grumble - skip if you want.
I picked up a home-built double layer hammock a few months back with built in skeeter netting, whoopie slings, ridge-line, etc... for a decent price. hung it on the front porch and tried it out - and came to the quick realization it was made for someone shorter than me.
There was a visiting Canadian airman down this way and he was interested -- but didn't decide so until after he was back home.
So i shipped it to him to try out -- he liked it and wanted to buy. all is well and good.
We had an agreed on price. He was happy, I was happy.
3 weeks and no $$$ - so I dropped him a line.
he said he had a knife he'd be willing to trade me but I would owe him $$ difference -- I said no but gave him a list of things I would be interested in.
a week later i get a PM -- how much did we agree on and what's your PP account?
I replied same day.
3 weeks later I send HIM a PM asking if he lost my address again -- he apologizes and promises to get the $$ sent ASAP.
another week goes by and nada -- today i get another PM: he took it camping over the weekend and decided he doesn't like it that well after all, amazingly enough the things I originally said I was not totally keen on with the thing due to it not being long enough for a person over 5' 10" or so now bother him -- what's my shipping address.
so now, 2 full months after I had the first "$$ is heading your way this week" PM, supposedly he will be boxing the hammock back up and sending it back. Wonder if it'll show in time for the gathering?

You can add some code that will prevent the images from showing. It'll still cost you some bandwidth, but not nearly as much.
I get the outrage over people taking stuff and claiming it as their own. But as long as people are giving credit, there's not much difference between hotlinking and just providing a link to your site or images.
Double tap. Site is still sluggish here.
Oh well, bonus post! Here's tradewater and Murph downing some B&T's at a recent Swedish brewfest.

yah, you can have site detect code, either server config, or using other formats... such that should people hotlink, they get a warning image. if they keep doing it, they can get full page goatse :> as well as methods to bury your images, make them hard to find and/or non-draggable and/or active loading (requires JS and bones some users), but you CAN annoy the moochers - they can always screen grab though.
don't forget to copyright your css code. obfuscate/compress your JS.
buy more bandwidth![]()
