Ridiculous budget blade-4 dollar Ozark Trails folders, good blade-pic heavy

I sliced up my thumb a couple weeks ago and it made it painful for me to open my leatherman waves balde. So I went and picked up the tan one. It works pretty good the flipper only works with a little wrist action but the lock is solid and I actually really like the blade shape.

Yea I actually really like the design of the tan one as well. Would love one with an s110v blade. Only thing I didn't like was the blade shape near the tip, but that was solved by grinding it into a drop point. The blade geometry is actually pretty good as well, after reprofiling to 15 dps with a micro bevel it's a great slicer.

Jill, for hating wal mart so much, you're always in there it seems. It's like the knives are calling to you.... Just get one already!

On topic, I'm gonna do a whole stress test tonight and pictures will come after I get off work. Stay tuned folks.

Yep I'm in there buying dog food. I have 5 dogs. No place else to get it hardly, unless I go to Kroger's and they're a lot higher. I might have bought one of these when I was a kid. Of course I bought a lot of stuff back then, I wouldn't buy now.

Most people tend to go for wholefoods dog food. Haven't you heard the cheap Walmart dogfood sometimes causes dogs to choke on pigs teeth and other surprises?
Jill Jill, isn't your dog's life worth more to you?

Just kidding of course. I actually ate some Wall Mart dog food myself when I was a student.

I don't buy Walmart dog food. I buy Purina One which is about a dollar a pound. Mix it with Alpo canned and fresh eggs. The dogs thrive on it.

Not so, I've bought USA Buck knives at Walmart. I've bought a lot of things from Walmart I deemed worth the price. Not much choice now, that they've pretty much out volumed and low balled every other smaller store out of business is there? There used to be 3 hardware stores in the city I work in. Now there's none, go to Lowe's or Walmart that's about it. I miss the hardware stores where a person would take the time to help you, instead of just pointing you in the right direction. One used to even help people repair items, at no extra charge.

Back to the subject just got home bought the Tanto black one will post pictures. Going to take it in the woods with me in the morning if I kill a dear I'm going to use it to gut it.

You do understand that you're still supporting Wal-Mart and their major use of Chinese/non-American suppliers, right?

Not that I'm all hung up on that.

Well, you could buy from an American company with comparable and often lower prices... The big river site.

Skinning with a tanto? Sacrilege

Is the black handled tanto also partially serrated?

What choice do I have with the dog food? I can't hardly order it and have it shipped. I've bought maybe two Buck knives from Walmart, like I said I have no problem buying goods from Walmart I feel are worth the price. There are things sold there I don't need or have to buy there. One is that entire line of Ozark Trail Chinese made outdoor gear.

So don't buy it?

Believe me, I'd rather talk about the knife.

Anyways, I got some plans for this knife tonight. Gonna be a whole new knife.

Like i stated before had the tan ones lock failed on me but a few quick adjustments to it and it's good to go now. I really like how that one feels in the hand could be a bit bigger but whatever. The belly on the blade though I don't like I like how someone here made it a drop point that rocked.

Talk about your knife not me and I will. I have not said a word about any of you. I only discussed what I think about the knife.
